The chicken served here are all super moist and plump, and frankly it doesn’t really need much of the sauce because it’s already so flavourful. The cranberry sauce is slightly too sweet for me, but I do like the combination of the whole grain mustard to cut through the sweetness.
A great place to come and get your late night BCM fix if you’re around the Bugis area. Love how they have the bits of fried pork lard and make sure you get a good serving of vinegar to go with the noodles! Very satisfying!
Super fragrant with the batter, curry leaves, and chilli. You can really taste the butter and I believe some milk powder too... however the squid was a little too thin for the batter which resulted in a hard chewy texture. Perhaps ordering this with some pork or chicken would’ve been better...
One of the better dishes we ordered, this dish was full of the prawn flavour and came freshly fried! Definitely order this when you are here!
Nothing like a good hot plate of toufu with your zi char dinner. This dish came all bubbly with the egg all fluffed up, and it went perfect with the rice.
Tucked in the hip neighbourhood of Fremantle, you’ll find Meet & Bun. One of the TOP rated burger places in Perth that have somewhat of a Shake Shack vibe... does it live up? Pretty well indeed! They have lovely thick shakes, and their burgers are really good. I went with the vege burger which had a crumbed portobello pattie and added an additional beef pattie in it just because it’s not a burger if it doesn’t have beef in my books. The waitress gave the thumbs up saying that’s the best combination to have and she was right! It was so satisfying and I just love the portobello mushroom pattie combo! I’ll say skip the cheesy fries cause they ain’t shy with the sauce, which was abit too much imo... but great place, great burgers... what more can u ask for?
I’m not the biggest fan of pig kidneys and livers, but you can easily see why this dish is Super popular and the broth is really quite something! I’ll probably order a less adventurous version of just the pork slices the next time round, cause it was nice and tender that goes so well with the broth and soft mee sua!
I’m a fan of the Sembawang white restaurant version, but this dish is pretty good too. I love the thick pieces of fried lard that elevates the flavour of this dish and into the sauce that is just being soaked up by all that beehoon. Yum yum!
Crispy Vietnamese spring rolls accompanied with a sweet chilli dipping sauce. Love the texture that you get from this dish!
Dry version of rice noodles with grilled pork, spring rolls combined with the usual Vietnamese vegetables and a sweet sauce mixed in together. Very satisfying!
The mutton was very flavourful and the chicken was plump and juicy. I do enjoy that the satay sauce had abit of spice to it, and definitely a good satay fix to order if you’re having cravings for it!
Tucked into the corner of Golden Mile is this 2016 Michelin Bib Gourmand Guide entry. They have a pretty decent Bee Hoon Soto that really changes when you add the chilli sauce into it. Be warned that it is SPICY, but takes the soup to another level all together.
