One of my favourite birthday cakes - Paris Baguette Yoghurt Fresh Cream Cake ($47). The cake is light and creamy, with loads of fresh fruits. It’s not overly sweet and it tastes slightly sour due to the yoghurt. Overall, I love this cake and recommend it as a healthier cake option! On a side note, Paris Baguette provides matchsticks, which is so convenient when you are celebrating birthdays outside. The matchsticks are also much longer, which prevent your fingers from getting burnt! Ratings - Taste: 4.5/5; Price: 3/5
Starbucks is having 1-for-1 and I tried the watermelon & lychee aloe vera drink. It’s rather refreshing and interesting. It’s sweet with a sour aftertaste. I probably wouldn’t pay the full price for this though...
McDonald’s Sweet Potato Soft Serve ($2) - I had some reservations at first but the sweet potato flavour was surprisingly good! It tasted like a real sweet potato, and went well with the crispy waffle cone. My friends had the Kit Kat McFlurry which tasted just like any other chocolate ice cream. I would say spend your money on the sweet potato soft serve instead! Ratings - Taste: 4/5 ; Price : 4/5
Can’t describe how much I love this cake! This rich chocolate cake is layered with hazelnut praline which gives a lovely crunch and texture. The cake is simply delicious. A must for those who love chocolates!
Upon recommendations from my colleagues, we went to this restaurant on L2 of IMM for grilled fish. The restaurant was decorated to look like a submarine. We chose the 香辣 sauce for our grilled seabass and it was delicious! Strongly recommend to give it a try if you are around the area!
This is one of our favourite traditional Hokkien restaurants. They have tasty and authentic Hokkien cuisines, suitable for large group gatherings or family dinners. I usually order their Kong Ba Bao and I strongly recommend it! They usually would give a free bowl of dessert after dinner too.
We were near Dhoby Ghaut and were craving for some afternoon snack. Located at a ulu part of Singapore Shopping Centre, this patisserie has really pretty eclairs that tasted so good! The eclairs were not cheap (around $8 each) but it’s 1-for-1 eclair and drink on Burpple Beyond!

Newly opened near Bishan MRT, this cafe has really good gelato! They are also very generous with their portions! Do pop by if you are around the area, especially since they are on Burpple Beyond!
We intended to try wild honey but the queue was crazy so ended up at Antoinette! The ambience feels like a quaint English tea house! We had French toast and pancakes, which were both awesome. The portions were quite big so we didn’t have stomach for the cakes which looked amazing. Will be back!
This is such a hidden gem! Located at the Jurong east bus interchange, the stall sells this Chinese street snack which looks like a prata / flatbread seasoned with all kinds of spice / preserved vegetable. Freshly baked in a clay oven, its super affordable and tasty!
Hands down my favourite tendon restaurant! They serve a huge bowl of tendon at a very reasonable price! Not sure what’s with the bad reviews on Google, but to me, this is a very good bowl of tendon. Well marinated and generous serving of tempura!
