Salas base includes pumpkin mash, roasted potatoes, sliced cucumber and shredded seaweed. Appreciate the generous serving of โsaladโ with grilled chicken at $6.80, making this an affordable option in the basement of AMK Hub. It sure helps that this stall is halal certified which means more food options for our Muslim friends :)
The combination of the ingredients seems quite strange though. The chicken lacks seasoning, the pumpkin mash is super sweet, the cucumber is cold and the roasted potatoes have a weird tasting sauce poured over it. Still, will recommend to try this and to share with a friend!
Chose the mild chicken for the protein and itโs a bit dry. Tortilla chips are a bit soggy. Otherwise the taste is pretty good, with cheese on meat and tangy salsa. The portion is enough for a satisfying dinner.
Simple ingredients but tastes so good. $2.80 / $3.30 is such an affordable price point. Be prepared to queue for at least 30mins though! I have been patronising the stall since I was young and Iโm glad the owner hasnโt increased the price much over the years.
Picked black sesame for my ice cream and itโs an interesting flavour against the bittersweet molten chocolate cookie. At $8.80 per set, itโs a little on the pricey side but the cookie is too good to be given a miss!
Great for sharing among 6pax with other side orders. Soup was a tad too spicy and salty, needed some water to โwash downโ my throat after eating.
Love the crispy exterior of the carrot cake, topped with generous chye poh thatโs enough for every bite. Ordered 2x $3 plates for 3pax and the serving is just right. The 1 hour wait in the hot coffeeshop is a turn off, will be back only when I deeply crave for it.
Back to Kei Kaisendon for the third time, first time at One Raffles Place outlet. Service crew lady was quite rude when she was taking orders, but her attitude improved after that. Ordered Burpple 1-for-1 set, each set came with 1 don (I chose the salmon mentaiyaki don - delicious!), mini salad (not that great), yakitori (yum!) and hot green tea. The entire set was very filling and $34.98 for two sets is a good deal.
Enjoyed the taste of burnt top layer and molten cheese centre. At almost $18 a slice, I find it hard to have this as a regular treat.
Highly recommend the seafood linguine ๐๐ป
Bad experience here ๐ Used the burpple beyond deal and choosing the specialty mille crepe is a must. We chose the earl grey hazelnut cake for the 2nd cake. The mille crepe tasted like full load of cream and it got โjelatโ after a while, making it impossible to finish. The earl grey cake was disappointing with no hint of earl grey taste at all. The drinks were average and the service was terrible - the service crew missed our order even though itโs not crowded and did not even apologise.
Waited 30 mins for this while my friends were already halfway through their food. Not sure why this took super long to be served that day :( Serving looks small but actually the bowl is quite deep with lots of rice. Will prefer more veg to go with this as the sides are not enough to eat with the rice :(
Spicy chicken glass noodle @ $10
I like that this place is halal certified as I could hang out here with my friends :) Always tend to order this as I enjoy slurping on the glass noodles dipped with their interesting sauces. Spicy chicken marinate gives an extra kick in this dish ๐๐ป
