First time trying Papa Ayam! Decided to try as I have been seeing long queues for it!

Got the Ayam Geprek Cabe Ijo ($6.90 + 10 cents for separate chilli packaging and + 30 cents for takeaway)! Crispy fried chicken smashed with green chilli! Generous amount of chilli given. But I was disappointed that the rice was plain white rice. The whole dish was kinda dry to us. The green chilli is quite spicy though!

One of the popular char kway teow stall at Old Airport road is Lao Fu Zi Fried Kway Teow!

The wait is around 15-25mins! Got the $8 portion this time round and it had prawns as well!

Added a little chilli this time round and I felt it was too mild, can go for more chilli the next time!

But during this visit, there were a few noodle bits that were charred and hard..

Hokkien Mee at THE NEIGHBOURWOK!

We tried to eat this on two attempts before we finally could! Because their operating hours are quite limited, for lunch it is 11am-2.30pm! But somehow, we always happen to reach at around 2-2.30pm timing, where they are either sold out or closed taking orders for lunch!

So finally able to eat this recently!

We got the $5 small portion, and it was quite a substantial portion! There are two prawns, some squid and sliced pork in it! The hokkien mee is the wet kind! For taste, I thought it resembled the white beehoon in terms of the starchy sauce and the citrusy spicy chilli sauce! The ingredients are also almost the same!

Recommend to try! But waiting time is usually at least 15mins, not a food to order if you are rushing for time!

Back at Mangiano By CC for the second time!

This time round the set lunches were available on our visit!

Got the Japanese Scallop Aglio Olio set ($17.90++) which comes with soup of the day (it was mushroom soup for my day of visit), iced lemon tea/tea/coffee!

A very nice cozy place to have your meal!

For the aglio olio, I opted for mild spicy level and it was already quite spicy for me!

Craving for claypot frog legs? Head to Hua Zai Frog Porridge Zi Char!

Ordered the claypot frogs in spring onion sauce (3 pcs for $18) with porridge ($3; portion good enough for 2-3 pax)!

Love the silky smooth porridge drenched in the spring onion braised sauce! Frog leg was tender and nicely cooked!

Visit to bugis is never complete without heading to Ah Chew for Desserts!

Got the Mango Sago with Pomelo ($5.20) and Grass Jelly with Lychee ($3.80). I am always craving for their grass jelly desserts when I am here somehow! Note to self NOT to get the bowl with pomelo next time, and just get the mango sago ($4.40) as the pomelo bites majority of the time made my dessert bowl more bitter!

Visited Tipo Pasta Bar for the first time!

Realised that their pasta menu is actually very similar to Tipo Strada! Both outlets have the build your own pasta menu! The only slight differences for the pasta menu is the fixed bowl where their selections are slightly different!

Here is what I tried this time round:
-Absolute Alfredo for Gemelli (parsley pasta) [$17.90++]: Love their creamy white sauce! This came with swiss brown mushrooms and chicken (which was more like steamed chicken to me than "smoked chicken")
-Build your own pasta: Linguine Chilli Garlic Pasta + Aglio Olio + White Clams [$14.4++]: Free toppings were included and we added ALL and it was a WRONG choice lol! The toppings added were chilli flakes, extra virgin olive oil, garlic chips and birds eye chilli. The addition of the birds eye chilli and chilli flakes plus it was a chilli garlic pasta SUPER FIERY! I couldn't stomach more than 3 scoops of it whoops! Lesson learnt, just stick to adding garlic chips only the next time!

Back at Tan Yu! Already lost count of how many times I have dined here! My family’s favourite food place!

Got the fragrant garlic grilled fish this time round as still having sore throat/cough! They seem to have changed the recipe for the garlic! It used to be like soy garlic and is darker brown. Now it is like garlic butter and a very light yellow hue! It also comes with brinjals now! Lots of crispy garlic bits given too!

We visited the Jewel Outlet and there is now a new $2.8++ per pax unlimited ice jelly dessert bar! You can take unlimited bowls of it and make your own dessert bowl however you want it! Quite VFM as we each had at least 3 bowls each!

First time dining at Josh's Grill!

Got the char grill chicken chop with mushroom cream sauce, which comes with choice of 2 sides! Picked the mash potato and cheesy butter rice. I was very impressed by the creamy mash potato, best I have ever eaten in this kind of western food place that let you choose the side! It was so buttery and light! On the other hand, I didn't quite enjoy the cheesy butter rice. Too cheesy / sticky for me! As for the sauce, I didn't expect it to be served separately. The cream sauce was also kinda of diluted.

But quite worth the money for the meal I feel! They have 15 very interesting sides for you to choose from too! Ranging from fries, baked potato, mac & cheese, onion rice, mala broccoli, corn, brussel sprouts and baked beans to cold sides such as salad, green mango and pineapple salad , spaghetti, coleslaw salad and potato salad! Think I will be back again to try their other sides! Eyeing the green mango pineapple salad especially!

Fail proof dining options at Jurong Point. One of my go-to is Legendary Hong Kong!

✨Pork with Century Egg Congee
✨Char Siew Chee Cheong Fan
✨Steamed Siew Mai

Super love the silky smooth congee!

Here is what we ordered:
-Cereal Prawn Burger ($24++): Thick Prawn Patties with butter poached tiger prawns and buttered buns! Thought this burger was super unique! Cereal flakes make it taste like a real cereal prawn dish!
-Kapitan Omu Risotto ($25++): Another very unique dish that can only be found here! This is like japanese omu rice with arborio rice cooked risotto style! Sauce tastes like thai curry being a mixture of creamy coconut sauce! Chicken was lightly spices!

The taste of the food took me by surprise and I will recommend all to come to try their delicious unique tasting food!

Do note that the 1 for 1 is only applicable for selected food items on the menu! If you are planning on heading here, best to make a reservation beforehand!
