You know the food is good when I am back at Tangled Pasta in less than 3 days!

This time round, I got the Smoky Ducky Pasta ($9.90). I was quite surprised that this time round the pasta sauce and pasta + ingredients were separated! This is great since the pasta shop is a takeaway concept! First time I see a pasta shop separating the pasta from pasta sauce! Kudos! (I think this is only done for the pasta items that have saucy pasta sauce! For the aglio olio kind, there is no mixture to separate from so it is all packed together)!

And again, I was impressed the pasta! It was totally the pasta sauce again which makes the pasta bowl nice! Spicy tomato sauce. This bowl comes with smoked duck, almond flakes and cranberries!

Fish & Chips with a Japanese fusion twist at @fryingfishclub !

Instead of the usual Dory or Haddock, they are using Shiro Maguro (White Tuna)! Shiro Maguro has a more firm and meatier texture!

-Nori Fish and Chips: I love the infusion of seaweed into the batter! This is served with asian slaw and fries!

-Spicy Fish and Chips: This was quite spicy for me!!! For someone who does eat malaxiangguo haha! But ordered this because of the kani salad! It comes with fries too! We both loved the crispy fries! Nicely fried!

-Yuzu Ramune
-Iced Lemon Peach

Have walked past Tangled (Fresh Pasta To Go) countless times when at Bugis Junction.. finally tried it recently! Have been attracted by their very interesting pasta choice that is shown in their display cabinet!

They have around 9 pasta choices here or you can also build your own pasta! Since it was my first visit, I decided to try out their signature pasta bowls first!

Ordered the Mango Tango ($10.90)! Squid ink spaghetti aglio olio with prawns and mango salsa. Picked this because I thought the edition of mangos to pasta was quite refreshing and wanted to try it out.

Did not expect the pasta to be mind-blowing, but I turned out to quite like it! The spaghetti aglio olio sauce was SO GOOD! It is slightly spicy! The combination of aglio olio + prawns + mango all went well together! Pastas also didnt stick up too much even though I only consumed them 20mins later.

We are loyal supporters of tiong bahru bakery!

Have been eating their croissant and kouign amann since they opened in Singapore more than 10 years ago! 80% of our past visits are to the Raffles City outlet, and one time to the Funan Mall outlet! For this trip, we decided to check out the outlet at Fort Canning Foothills! What we expected was a tranquil calming peaceful kind of vibe at the foothill.. but we were soo wrong haha! We visited on a weekend morning, and it was wayyy too crowded and noisy! But lucky for us, when we reached there were no queue to enter. When we left, there was a snaking long queue of more than 10 pax waiting outside to enter to dine in! o.o

Had our usual croissant ($4.20++) and tried a new item we have not tried before, green tea croissant ($6.50++)!

Crispy buttery flaky croissants!

We have walked past Moonchild many times while at Jalan Besar area! Finally visited this cafe for our Vday celebration!

Here is what we ordered:
-Scallop Rose Mafaldine ($23.90++): This was good!! Seared scallops with gochugaru pink sauce! Loved the unique mafaldine pasta too!
-Stock Pot Chicken & Gruyere ($21.50++): Decided to order this as we had something similar as this at at Cafe Neptune and we absolutely loved it! But hmm, we cant' say the same for the dish here. While the chicken, mushrooms and herb potatoes were all good. We found the ciabatta bread given to be bitter in taste? We enquired the first time and we were told the herb sauce might make it bitter. So we decided to try it without dipping it in the herb sauce.. But it was still bitter.. After we gave the feedback, we were given another new plate of ciabatta bread... and it ended up still tasting slightly bitter to us (but not as bitter as the first plate we were served with). So this whole ciabatta experience affected our enjoyment of this dish!
-Hot Matcha Latte ($8++): Decided to get a hot drink as yes I am still down with post-covid cough after 3 freaking months! Lol when the cuppa of matcha latte was served, my jaw dropped haha. It is my first ever cup of matcha latte where the matcha powder is not whisked properly such that it still clumps together..

Food aside, I liked the ambience of the place though! Check out their toilet for their very interesting water tap.

No reservations allowed here, so you can only walk in!

-Taiwan Special Pork Patty ($6.90)
-Pork Egg Cheese ($6.90)
-Hot Milk Tea ($3 for L size)
-Iced Cane Flavored Black Tea ($3.40)

Out of all the food I have tried here so far, I prefer their toasts and Iced Cane Flavored Black Tea! Love the sweet and soft milk loaf bread!

This place has been on my to-go list for the longest time! Finally found appropriate time to head down over the CNY long weekend break!

Had a hard time deciding which All Day Sammies to get, and here is our final choice!
-Counter Brekkie ($13.50+): Smoked pork bacon, avocado slices, over easy egg with sriracha sauce
-Sunday Cals ($14+): Wanted to order this because of the creamy egg salad it had! Comes with crispy spam, bacon bits and American cheddar!
-Dirty Matcha ($7+): Actually I wanted to order Matcha Latte! But did not know that I was scrolling amongst the “coffee” section only (I thought that was the full drinks menu)! So this was how we ended up with a dirty matcha (which has caffeine) even though I am not a caffeine drinker. But luckily, this dirty matcha was pretty nice! The coffee taste was not too overpowering and the matcha taste balanced it out quite nicely!

Location: 380 E Coast Rd, Singapore 428986

Here is what we ordered:
-Steamed Spare Ribs with Black Bean Sauce
-HK Style curry chicken
-XW Signature Fried Noodle

I was expecting the curry chicken to be the soup kind, but it was the thicker gravy type! Wished they had given more chicken curry gravy though! We finished up the sauce faster than the ingredients! Loved the soft mashy potatoes and the addition of the crispy taukee skin! As for the fried noodle, I thought it will be like Hong Kong Noodle kind of texture, but this was more like a Chinese ramen kind of texture, abit strange!

Prosperity feast meal for CNY!

I love it that the black pepper chicken burger was served hot which made the chicken patty soft, moost and juicy! Crispy curly fries with garlic chilli sauce was also good! Tried the new pink guava fizzy drink and it was actually not bad

Ban Mian/ Mee Hoon Kway with Wok Hei Taste!

The most unique ban mian stall in Singapore is this! Their soup has a wok hei taste (slightly burnt flavour). It is a love or hate relationship with this unique soup! I super love their chewy banmian and mee hoon kway! Have since came to eat it 3 times already!

They have various outlets in Singapore!

I visited the one at 177 Bukit Batok West Ave. 8, Singapore 650177!
