Strongly recommend the milk flavour amongst all. Wouldn't recommend the yoghurt flavour...doesn't go well with the mochi. Also should wait for about 1 minute before consuming as icecream would be rock hard.
The pound has amazingly priced cakes (homebaked!) and drinks ranged $2-$6! I frequent this place for its beautiful teak tables and lovely cakes. Owners are extremely helpful and kind too :)
Was a small portion compared to their regular dishes, and slightly oily! Would say the other items (steak & chicken steaks) are more worth your Wicked Grill dollars! 🙂
Generous proportions of pork belly, collar, beef slices, squid and prawns etc. Party of 4 could hardly finish what was given on the platter. Moat of soup is made of pork broth and white radish which provides natural sweetness - very healthy as no MSG or excess salt added. Probably drank a few bowls of it. Mookata orders also come with a free flow vegetables station! Will head back for more dishes, very well cooked food.
One of the best Thai restaurants around in Singapore and extremely reasonably priced, with most dishes well within $15 and below. This Fried Prawn Cake is one of the must-haves, understood from the boss that they make this in-house. Very worth the calories because the proportion of juicy prawns to flour is very generous. Matches the given authentic home made Thai Chilli sauce very well too.
Flavourful lean beef slices with caramelised onions atop a bed of Japanese rice which was very well cooked and chewy. Thumbs up for the food quality, not to mention the best part being the onsen egg which was very fresh and amazingly not too flowy yet runny. Likely the best Gyudon I have tried in Singapore as of now
Creamy, well-thought out burger with freshly made brioche buns & a premium juicy beef cut.
Mad love for their Sweet Samurai flavour & Blackened Voodoo Wedges! Got a side dip (cinnamon maple) to go and loveeed mixing the flavours!
Satisfying experience, which we concluded was because of the amazing cooking of their Jap rice :) Sticky yet defined sushi rice, with just the right bite and vinegar amount!
The insides of the maki was regular tasting, with a bit too much mayo (personally don't enjoy too much mayo).
Tried just about every flavour, I liked their Sweet Samurai best. Mango fire and nuclear habanero are for those who really enjoy spicy, exciting flavors.
There's just about a fav flavor for everyone so it would be a good idea to head there with a few friends! (P.s. Saw that they have a Wings Wednesday (Wings at 50 cents) going on!)
Had a 1-1 Entertainer deal on their mains, so we got ourselves some steak (done medium) and a half roasted chicken to share. The meats were hearty, of pretty good portions and well-cooked! They also came with sauces - Spicy Barbeque, Mustard & Mango sauce. Mango was surprisingly the tastiest, followed by Spicy Barbeque 😋
But honestly, the most addictive part of the meal was the hand-cut fries! For those who don't enjoy balsamic vinegar & olive oil kinda salad dressing - do give them a note to omit salad dressing (you can toss them with the sauces provided, or eat them plain!) Most importantly, all the stuff in the middle was FREE FLOW 🙂🙃🙂
Also really appreciate restaurants who offer free iced water!
Though not the cheapest around, we were quite willing to pay for an authentic-tasting, no frills and satisfying Aburi Don yum.
If you have a small appetite, don't upsize though. Not totally necessary to upsize and not as tiny as reviewed, imo!
