Nothing special about it
Sweet and slimy sauce laid over a gigantic trotter. One of the best ones out there, not too sweet, not too sticky, a taste that one would most enjoy and find acceptable
Satisfying cooling dish to calm down from the fire brought by the curries!
Yummy yam rice with tender breast meat! A little bit pricy at $5 and slightly disappointed that the toufu wasn't the braised one. Chili had a well mix of spiciness, sweetness and sourness which went well with the rice!
Why I insist on going back to grandma house every Friday. Freshly made wonton filled with flat fish bits, water chestnuts, fresh shrimps and soft fatty pork cooked in a soup base brewed with Ikan Bilis and chicken bones. #grandmarocksmyworld
A simple bowl of fishball noodles with really uniquely sweet minced pork and fresh fishballs is my way to satisfy myself after a day of studying.
It was worth that $4 of mine to reminisce those Australian good old times of soy coffee :) #VSCOcam #burpple
Highlight of the breakfast was their toasts which were so well made that all the kaya, sugar and butter came together as one. Tea and eggs were up to standard and we were lucky to get a seat without waiting! Do give it a try if you are awake at 8am on a Sunday!
At $2, this bowl of mee soto (chicken noodles) is filled with such great flavor that it resembles the one I had in bedok. (Limited edition in NUS, doesn't serve this everyday)
My favorite spot for a Bak chor Mee supper. At $5 it comes with a relatively large portions with 2 meatballs, 2 shrimps, 2 fishballs, 2 dumplings, more than 4 slices of fishcakes and also some minced pork. It's stir fried dried chili is one of the main reasons I frequent this place! It's soup is pretty delicious but I suspect that it is through the use of MSG. Overall, this bowl of noodles made the long walks I always had to take, worth it.
"A gateaux of moist chocolate cake ,crunchy hazelnut praline with a coating of dark chocolate custard and chocolate glaze." A tad too sweet for me but nevertheless 😋😋😋
"A Chocolate cookie base with hazelnut filling inside and a generous amount of buttery hazelnut chocolate crumble on top.". Together with the hei ice cream it was an experience of a "song of ice and fire" It was pretty worth it as it was a dish by itself around $12 for such quality and quantity.
