My second time eating this at Ride for Rainbows events. WHEAT has been sponsoring this event at least for the past 2 years that I've participated in. Even though it's a sponsored food item, they are generous with their portion of soba and chicken. Just eating this box was sufficient to fill out stomachs after a tiring ride.

Noodles, Cordyceps Flower, Shijmeiji Mushroom, Shiitake Mushroom, Soya Mutton, Tau Pok, Lettuce and Carrot served in Huai Shan broth.

The herbal broth is light and nice!

Latte e Miele, which means “Milk and Honey” was inspired by the biblical paradise “Land of Milk and Honey” where there is abundant sustenance, joy and happiness.

Flavours in pic: Lychee Martini & Stracciatella.

There is an ongoing promotion for waffle combo: waffle with single scoop and a drink ($11.90); and brownie combo: brownie with single scoop and a drink ($12.90). We ordered a total of 3 waffles with double scoops, and 2 brownies with double scoops ($80) to share among 14 pax.

Recommended flavours: Dark Chocolate, Lychee Martini, Stracciatella, Cookies & Cream, Lavender. Try Passionfruit only if you are into something sour.

Personally I don't understand the hype about the chicken rice balls other than them being rolled to size like fried fishballs. The rice balls didn't taste like rice, I couldn't even feel the rice grains in my mouth. Chili wasn't fantastic and somehow It's true that the chicken smells good when served - you could smell the sesame oil. However, I think the steamed chicken that my mum cooks tastes better than this. Chicken rice balls are just not to my liking.

Note: It's a LONG queue outside. If you are curious about chicken rice balls, you can try but don't have too high expectations for it.

I love their thick gula melaka! And look how the coconut milk coating makes the ice ball look just like a coconut. Interestingly, they have 2 bowl sizes on weekdays but only offer the big bowls (RM7.40) during the weekends. It's definitely too much for one person to finish, perhaps 2 or 3 would be alright!

Coconut milk shake with vanilla ice cream for just RM2.70. It's pretty interesting to notice that they have a production line set up in that small area: (1) opening of coconuts, (2) collecting the coconut water, (3) blending the coconut flesh, coconut water and vanilla ice cream, (4) dispensing the blended mixture into individual cups, (5) top up ice cream accordingly.

The Lava Cake (~$14.90) was pretty huge. The crew said it's just right for one pax, but I would recommend that you order for sharing. I would say it's just right for 2 to 3 pax. We were supposed to be there for a discussion following a recce, but ended up with free food from the staff! Heh.

Cedele has been one of my favourite bakeries since I first tried their Carrot Cake with Walnuts years ago. Chocolate Banana Espresso ($7.50) was the second type of cake that I tried. I was pretty impressed with the softness of the cake and how the texture of the bananas were just right. It's still as soft as I remembered. Earl Grey Lavender Tea ($4) was decent too.

Apparently, there is a weekday cake set promotion when I came at 5pm plus and I only paid $9.50!

The sesame oil used in the dressing was so fragrant that you smell it the moment you remove the cover. The shoyu tasted really light and it allows you to enjoy the original taste of the fish as much as possible. If you'd like something creamier, go for the wasabi mayo, roasted sesame or sweet yuzu cream! Or if you'd like a bigger serving of fish, choose the "Starving" bowl at $14. I got my "Hungry" bowl of brown rice base at $10. One of the cheapest Poke bowls in town!

How to order: 1) Choose your Poke bowl from the menu, 2) Select your meat(s) where applicable, 3) Select your base.

The TONKOTSU broth is based of simmering fresh TONKOTSU carefully for 12 hours in order to make concentrated delicious soup blended with mild texture and rich TORI soup. Freshly made noodle by using in-shop noodle making machine topped with flavored soft-boiled egg, aburi chashu, dried seaweed and black fungus.

Perhaps we should have ordered like half a roasted duck rather than the mixed meat platter. Noodles in the black sauce tasted good and springy. 2 noodles, 1 rice, 1 steamed fish head, 1 roasted meat platter and 1 pot of soup: All for RM 104 to feed 4 adults. Cheap I would say!

Arriving at 10am at Restoran Gim Cheng and the place was already crowded. Find a table on your own and they will give you the order chit. Gim Cheng serves relatively cheap dim sum. It cost us only RM 81 for all these and a few additional dishes with 3 bowls of porridge, and a pot of Chinese tea.
