Crispy Boneless Buttermilk Fried Chicken

For RM35, this dish was underwhelming. A pinch of dry spinach, lumpy scrambled eggs, one Maldon Salt inspired lamb sausage, cherry tomatoes in perfect slight grilled inconsistency, some mushrooms, on toast. Brunches like this with tag prices that cannot justify actual serving disappoints me. Beyond the niceness and enthusiasm of the restaurant's waiters and runners, could potentially be the only saving grace about my entire dining experience. We were told The Pantry is a French restaurant (because the chef is French), but there is nothing particularly French on the menu which was 80% part English Breakfast and 20% western (think 1 burger, 1 crostini, 1 chicken chop and... well, that's all for the mains). The restaurant gets more confusing with its design from pastel walls and kopitiam tiles to neon signs and falling ivy leaves. It's attempt in blending in with Bangsar's other hip part of town, Kurau, looks like an unfinished work. This restaurant does not get my vote.
