This dog-friendly cafe in Joo Chiat opened for a cause — they actively promote adoption of animals and public awareness on animal welfare and responsible pet ownership. Expect regular adoption drives, set up in collaboration with animal welfare groups! This means that it's a good place for those looking to hang out with their dogs, as well as aspiring dog-owners in need of some furry therapy — pets are allowed indoors. The compact menu offers Asian flavours like Chicken with Rice and Fried Egg ($10.80) and crisp and juicy Sesame Chicken ($8.80). Meanwhile, treat your dog to specially prepared Doggie Bowls (from $8.80), topped with salmon, hormone free chicken or lean pork.

Chicken with Rice and Fried Egg ($10.80)
So this place serves their menu in a rather unique manner. Pick your protein and the way you want it done and they'll serve it with rice and a fried egg. Protein choices are chicken, prawn and dory fish, sauces include salted egg, chilli crab, rendang, basil, tom yum and green curry. I personally love the rendang and the "chilli crab" most though the chilli crab felt more like a sambal paste which went really well with the dory fish. Also available on the menu was spam fries! Really loved the crispy savoury spam fries!
The focus @pawsnpans is not its food but the fact that they are doing something really meaningful by helping shelter dogs find suitable foster homes. You are also welcome to bring your dog along for some interaction at their playspace on the 2nd floor.
