Rise & Shine Eggs Benedict

Went by on a weekday around 11.30am and the place was almost filled. By 12pm ish, there was a short queue. Best to come early or after the lunch crowd. In frame: Rise & Shine Eggs Benedict. Poached eggs, beetroot-cured salmon, on bubble and squeak and a bunga canton hollandaise. Overall a good dish, but I couldn’t taste the salmon when eaten altogether. Maybe would be better thicker slices?

(Rating: 5/5🌟) Rise & Shine Egg Drop on toast. Soft-scrambled egg, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions sandwiched in a hot cross bun. And, you can opt to add on Sarsi-glazed beef bacon for just rm8. Legit and definitely will come back for this! (Rating: 4/5🌟) Rise & Shine Eggs Benedict. Poached eggs, beetroot-cured salmon, bubble and squeak, bunga kantan hollandaise. (Rating: 4/5🌟) Banana bread with pumpkin kaya and house-made almond butter which was really good and I asked for second plate of it.

This stylish spot along Jalan Kamunting serves all-day brunch and lunch in familiar flavours. Burppler Jesius Enamourez raves about the impressive Rise & Shine Eggs Benedict (RM28). She especially loved its unique combo of beetroot-cured salmon on bubble and squeak (a potato and cabbage-like pancake) with bunga kantan (torch ginger flower) hollandaise. There’s also the delicious Hainan (RM22), scrambled eggs with sriracha aioli on a hot cross bun with Sarsi-glazed beef bacon (RM8). For a morning caffeine jolt, the refreshing and floral Nitro Cold Brew with Manuka (RM18) will do the trick.

The Rise & Shine by Tapestry (few weeks old café just opposite Hotel Stripes KL) features an all day western breakfast and lunch menu that intertwine with our local heritage.

I was so eager to try out their Eggs Benedict and it was impressive. Bubble & Squeak topped with poached eggs, beetroot cured salmon and Bunga Kantan hollandaise. So delicious that I wiped out the whole plate. RM28 per serving.
