realised penang’s hokkien mee is our prawn mee back home. the stained violent red was actually harmless and only begets a sweet sweet broth. whereas ours come with a two or three big shelled prawns, penang’s version comes with abundance of tiny “sua lor” in your bowl, enough to get you a few in each mouth. p.s think our lor mee is better though, so stick to their prawn noodles next time.
