Grilled veg is a Ningbo specialty. The version here is absolutely marvellous, presenting the best of what it could be. Flavourful, tender with a nice bite, the grilled veggies had a surprising body in the sauce.

The niangao (mochi ricecakes) was spectacular as well. Thick but evenly cooked, strong bite but so lovably chewy.

These 2 things are both Ningbo specialties and what a pleasure it is to find a rendition that has both ingredients and does justice to both
