Feeling a little like death today, but nothing will stop me from having my favourite desserts at Kuishin Bo. The items change very frequently, but two mainstays are the pillow-soft, chewy mochi – red bean and peanut – which are made fresh in the RE&S central kitchen daily.
Also highlights in the buffet spread are the Chinbin (rolled-up pancake) and Sata Andagi (dense, crumbly "doughnut"), which are part of the Kyushu & Okinawa food fair that will run from now until 27 September. Both desserts are traditional Okinawan treats made with the prefecture's specialty – black sugar.
