Leave your preconceptions of “Fish and Chips” at the door because this one at @bayswaterkitchen is in a category of its own.
Chef de Cuisine Jack shapes his vision of the British classic into a something altogether more refined. Most noticeably, the chunky chips have become elegant ethereal wisps of potato. Although smaller, the pieces of beer-battered cod fish are impossible to fault with that very light crunchy coating around the fresh-tasting, cottony-soft fish. The accompanying crushed peas and housemade tartare sauce are spot-on in rounding off this dish very nicely as well.
