Hong Kong has a lot of herbal tea shops located near traditional medicine shops conveniently.
I stopped to have a small bowl of Wong Lo Kat tea, which is supposed to “alleviate heat and detoxifies body” and is wonderful to reduce cough, cold, or heaty symptoms according to @koongwohtongherbaljelly. I was recommended this as I did not want any tea with added sugar. This tea has a more bitter aftertaste, thus allowing the drinker the chance to sip and appreciate its qualities better by sitting for a while. 🍵
I also chose to sit in as I preferred to drink out of their bowl than to use the plastic bottle as I had time to spare.
Still torn between herbal teas, regular cup of teas, and tea fusions when served warm. Do they really have much differences in their effects on the body?
This post is the tenth out of a thirteen mini-series of my recent trip to Kuala Lumpur during the New Year’s celebrations, and also some observations and comparisons from my previous trip. [Episode 10]
