Was at Star Vista looking for dinner places and thinking ‘how boring it’s always the same few places’ when I saw this place - so this was it; at least it would be a breath of fresh air. The first thing I realised was that prices are very reasonable; most mains were below $20. So we happily ordered and were also glad to find out that there was a promo that an order of at least 2 mains came with truffle fries (limited to a certain number of portions per day). Honestly, for the price, I was expecting mediocre western food as many places with this price point do really serve unremarkable food (sorry if I’m too honest haha), but I was left pleasantly surprised. When the food came, I already thought they looked pretty good. Then came the taste test. My favourite was the duck confit, for which the meat was tender and the skin nice and crispy. The salmon, cooked to medium, was not bad too and my mum sang praises of it. As for the aglio olio, as you can see from the photo, the biggest draw would probably be the generous ingredients for the price of $11.90. Taste was pretty good as well. Truffle fries were so-so, but since they were complimentary, I’m not complaining.
Swipe to see the dishes on the menu we ordered. I also had a beer, which cost $8.90 (I think). #sgfood #sgfoodlover #sgfoodtrend #sgfoodporn #sgfoodstagram #foodstagram #instafood #foodphotography #sgfooddiary #sgfoodies #sgfoodblogger #instafoodsg #foodsg #foodiesg #sgeats #sgrestaurant #sgcafe #sgcafehopping #cafe #salmon #duckconfit #aglioolio #pasta #trufflefries #beer #starvista #hiddenfinds #burpple #singaporeinsiders #sgeats
