The star at butter town is their OG original Shio Pan ($2.40) but when I saw this double chocolate sponge cake I melted it like butter and had to try it.
Although It is not the typical kind of chocolate I would go for (I.e in it is not a truffle), at $4.50 (I ate half of it before I remembered to take the photo on the right), I would still say it made my day.
Dense, moist, fluffy soft with that crunchy bite of chocolate balls.
Perhaps though I should have kept it in the fridge because leaving it out caused the semi soft chocolate paste to melt and all the mini balls fell off.
My chocolate taste preference tends to veer towards 60 to 70% dark cocoa.
