The kubaneh was a pretty enriched, layered bread with some nigella seeds that gives a subtle nutty, smokey flavour. It looks and tastes deceptively like sesame seeds but there's slightly more complexity in the taste. I found that the flavour developed more over time, and it tasted nicer on the 2nd/3rd day compared to having it fresh. The bread is really nice already but what really elevated it was the ZHOUG (a spicy cilantro sauce from Yemen). The zhoug was really flavourful and herby and refreshing, and the spice kick (it's a manageable level of spiciness) hits you at the back. They gave us 2 tubs to go with the kubaneh but I wish there was more because it was so yummy!! My fav purchase for this modo trip๐ค๐ผ
