As I ate my usual fishball noodles this morning, I noticed this new stall in the coffee shop selling chicken rice, so I told myself I should just eat this for lunch! At $2.80 this is one of a bloody good deal, it was so good after finishing my food I went to the uncle and aunty to tell them it was good. Here goes the review, before that I have to say that I am not a chicken rice connoisseur. The chili wasn't too spicy but I found it acceptable, what rocked was its dark soy sauce. It felt like as if it had a little oyster sauce mixed into it as it has a really rich taste compared to those typical straight from factory taste. Chicken was still a little tender despite ordering breast meat and the rice went well with the sauce laid into the chicken! Last but not least, the soup had baby cabbages, carrot slices and even corn with shallots & green onions which tasted even better than those 老火汤, the sweetness with every sip was just too shiok. All these for $2.80, seriously how do I even complain? Hooray, no need to cook Maggie mee for lazy lunches anymore😋 #hawkerpedia
