Despite the negligible amount of yam filling, I still enjoyed the 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐨 𝐘𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐢 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐤 ($𝟐.𝟕𝟎 𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐬). I mean, I honestly didn’t even realise there was yam in it until I read the name of the bun properly after. The sweet potato is definitely the overriding flavour, in the form of smooth vibrant purple paste. As a sweet potato lover, I really didn’t have a reason to complain. While the sweetness of the filling is palatable, it could do with less, considering that the crumb topping was also quite sweet.
