Bugis street Hokkien prawn mee
At the same coffee shop which houses the blue pea kampung nasi lemak is this hidden humble stall that sells a variety of local delicacies .
I saw regulars coming back for her Hokkien prawn mee so I went in for the queue . Helmed by a petite lady whom is so friendly and warm .
Extremely tasty with umamific prawn flavour , not greasy, extremely fresh prawns and sotong ( not crystal ones by the way ... ) , well cooked noodles ( without the alkaline taste and accompanied with an extremely good homemade sambal Belachan.
Those small gems of pork lard also added to the party .
Huge portions for 4.50 .
Such a hidden gem that is so good - even better that some acclaimed Hokkien prawn mee stalls ....
This stall also does a mean yam abacus seed stir fry and fried black / white carrot cake.
Will be coming back for more .
