I recently tried Nanai Flavour and it’s easily one of the more unique places for authentic Hangzhou food in Singapore.

We ordered quite a variety, including the Grandma’s Secret Dishes, prawn fried rice, Youbu style egg cake, old Shaoxing steamed soup dumplings, and the brown sugar glutinous rice cake, along with the guava and peach drink and lime roselle tea. What really stood out was how everything tasted fresh and handmade, with clean flavours that were not greasy at all.

Some of the dishes felt especially unique and are rarely seen in Singapore, particularly the Youbu style egg cake and the Shaoxing style soup dumplings. They had a very homely and traditional feel that you do not usually find here. The brown sugar glutinous rice cake was a great way to end the meal, chewy and fragrant without being overly sweet.

Overall, it is a great spot if you are looking for authentic Hangzhou food that feels different from the usual options in Singapore. Definitely worth a try if you want something unique and less common.
