$17.90) promo for Claypot Prawns Vermicelli. Was too hungry to think further, and so we settled on this place. Between 3 people, we ordered the Royal Thai Hotpot ($38.80) and the vermicelli dish. We chose the Tom Yum Red soup base, and were also given a choose of spice level (for which we chose the option of โ€˜less spicyโ€™). Maybe cos we were all starving, but when the hotpot came, we all felt that it smelled really good. For the price, they were pretty generous with the ingredients (well, you pay the same price for hotdogs and luncheon meat when you order army stew at Korean restaurants right haha). The flower crabs were slightly troublesome to peel, but otherwise we were pretty satisfied with the entire hotpot dish. Actually this was my first time having Thai hotpot, so I donโ€™t really have a benchmark to compare against. But I rather enjoyed it personally. The vermicelli was more ordinary I felt. For that, I have had better ones at other Thai restaurants. I think I would patronise this place again for the hotpot, and to maybe try some of the other items on the menu!
