Ordered small portion ($2.50) same as previously and didn't wanted to order too much also. Heard from my colleagues that it's quite nice. Quite plain taste for carrot cake tbh and a lot of chye poh inside also.

Rise & Shine! TGIF breakfast in Pek Kio Market & Food Centre as we were running errands around the area this morning! Chance upon 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐤𝐞, one of the carrot cake stall in Pek Kio with a long q, wow we were surprised that their pricing are still so affordable at $2 or $3, there’s hardly any stalls that still offer this kind of pricing! Portion was relatively perfect for the price, comes with generous servings of eggs, chye poh and the black sauce they use was so fragrant, not too sweet for our liking! Comforting plate of carrot cake in the morning to keep our tummy full! ⠀

My motto: The more unhealthy a dish is, the better it has to taste. Otherwise it just ain't worth the calories. And the carrot cake from this stall is one that I feel, is well worth it. Both the black and white versions are available but I've always been a sucker for the latter, with plenty of chilli please. Another plus point - they are generous with the egg too.
