Recently I found out that Flips N Dips has a second outlet in the Tai Seng industrial area. A short distance from the MRT station, located in a coffee shop. The outlet offers cafe style dishes at affordable prices.

We tried

Accompanied with Cheese sauce (S$1), Chilli Crab sauce (S$1), and Mentaiko sauce (S$1)

Out of the 3 sauce dippers, my favourite was the chilli crab sauce which tasted just like the real stuff! Love having this sauce over the tempura squid. Addictive! The egg toast was interesting as it was served topped with mentaiko sauce. The Sedap Mie was served topped with melted cheese which was quite unique.

No more going to JB to have Lok Lok ‘cos Da Cheng Lok Lok the best Lok Lok in Malaysia has finally landed in Singapore. The outlet is just a short distance from MRT station. So accessible. Although non air-con, the place was well ventilated.

More than 90 types of Lok Lok available, priced from S$1 per stick. Pricing is determined by the number of sticks skewered through the each ingredient. Just grab a metal plate on the table for the selected sticks, before heading to the counter for payment. Look out for your order number to be flashed when order is ready for collection.
In the end, we selected moo ping (2 sticks), potato chip, dried cuttlefish, sotong (2 sticks), salmon (2 sticks), marinated pork belly, mini crab, fried fish ball, prawn (2 sticks) , bacon wrapped quail egg (2 sticks), marinated chicken , otah bun (2 sticks), and bacon wrapped crab meat (2 sticks).

Don’t forget to help yourself to the condiment bar where you could find sauces such as the OG Satay Sauce 沙爹酱, Sour & Spicy Chilli Sauce 酸辣酱, Mala Chilli Sauce 麻辣酱, Sweet Sauce 甜酱 (think of the dark red sauce for chee cheong fun), Extra Spicy Chilli Sauce 超辣酱, Thai Chilli Sauce 泰式辣椒酱, Thai Green Chilli Sauce 泰式青辣酱, Condensed Milk 炼奶 (best with bun), and Spicy Chilli Sauce 辣椒粉 to dip the sticks with.

Wanton Mee 经典云吞面 ((S$5.50/ large)
In black version. It may looked simple, but the lard oil in the seasoning peaked it up. Plus QQ texture of the noodle.

aka Hokkien Mee. With Prawns, Sotong, Pork belly and Bean sprouts.

Smell kind of fishy too. Maybe fish broth was used instead of prawn broth.

Seafood Pao Fan (S$6)
Rice in Soup with Prawns, Sotong, Seafood Stick, Fish Cake and Bean Sprouts served in Wholesome Prawn Stock.

Smell kind of fishy. Didn’t taste like prawn broth.

Packed with shredded Pumpkin, Fresh Pork Belly Slice and Mushrooms

The filling seems did not stirred fried first before wrapping.
