Enjoyed this a bit more than the chicken mainly because of the richer, punchier gravy! The meat is tender, yet still has a nice give under your teeth with every bite.
Sides are the same as the chicken (blanched green beans and smashed potatoes).
Got to know of this pretty hidden spot sometime back via Burpple; located just a short walk from Lakeside MRT Station, Bowen's is a coffeeshop-esque establishment that serves economic bee hoon in the day and Italian fare at night. They seem to be pretty known by the residents around the area; the stall was pretty near maximum capacity when we visited it during dinner hours with most tables occupied by 3 or more pax.
As simple as it seems being just pasta and sauce, it's not everywhere that one would be able to find a pasta tossed in wild boar cream sauce. Though a little gamey, the sauce provides a savoury flavour that is laced with the pasta that provides the al-dente noodles all the flavour it needs. The pasta are pretty affordable here; this costs $8.90 and none of them are priced above $10 — the coffeeshop setting (which also means no aircon here) probably helps to keep the prices low here.
For its coffee shop price tag, this item is really really really worth it. Firstly, the portion is bigger than the usual coffee shop western food portion. The chicken chop is cooked to perfection, smells really yummy when it was served. Fries are crispy and the salad comes with red wine sauce with hint of vinegar. This is really good value. More like cafe quality at coffee shop price.
This coffee shop (blk 517, directly opposite Rulang primary school) used to be really quiet until Bowen's started. Ever since then it enjoys brisk business every night. The small coffee shop is packed with patrons who live around the area. Worth a visit if you stay in the West. Only open in the evening, do take note it closes on Sunday nights.

What I love about iSteaks is that they really grill the steak to your right doneness. The meat was pinkish and succulent. The layer of fat also melted within my mouth, leaving a smoky-buttery taste. By the way, you could also enjoy eating steaks with a cup of Teh Ping!

For just $8, this was rly worth it! Lots and lots of bacon inside. Portion was just nice as well. The dishes here are generally $10 or less than $10. I would advice y'all to sit outside if you're dining there at night as it's quite windy and also there's a nice ambience as well. Definitely coming back for more!

It's Friday! Time to party! 🎉 Fridays are always the best days as It is where I get to enjoy great company with great food!

Thin crust pizza lovers! Alt pizza signature its crispy but still retains a tad chewy texture. Best of all they actually oven, bake it on the spot! Talking about freshness ! Truffle lovers do look out for their Truffle Shuffle! The aroma of the truffle already got me worked up! The pizza was savoury, as it started to cool down it become sweeter and soon it was all gone.

I was famished, so I ordered some sides while waiting for the pizza. The calamari was pretty good, it was easy to chew and with the creamy chipotle lime aioli dip it gives of a tangy taste wanting you to eat more but it was slightly too oily. I am loser for fries, what's more they added bacon! I just hope they could give more sauce !

Overall, l would definitely come back for a visit! Hope to see a wider selection on my next visit. Oh! They have a happy hour promotion, where you get a pizza and a pint of beer at $20++ only!
Alexandra’s favourite zi char restaurant, Keng Eng Kee Seafood, has opened an outlet in Pandan Gardens. While the restaurant might be a little too far West for your friends (it’s a 20-minute bus ride from Jurong East MRT Station), the well-executed, tasty food and ample seating space is enough to warrant a second visit. Wrangle a group to sit at a giant round table and over the signature Moonlight Hor Fun (from $6), tasty Marmite Chicken (from $10) and the crowd favourite Coffee Pork Ribs (from $15) to share. Those a little more adventurous can try the Wok Hei Burgers ($9) with locally inspired flavours like Salted Egg Chicken, Sambal Beef and Coffee Pork Burger. All burger sets come with fries on the side and a drink. Pro tip: It gets crowded on weekends so make reservations beforehand!
Avg price: $15 per person

No white Christmas this year but we found a decent replacement at newly opened @ottosdelifresh. Like this Pressed Beef Steak Ciabatta with hangar steak and Bresaola beef.☝🏻️More on ms-skinnyfat.com Active link in bio!
Fine quality ingredient matters. This is strongly proven at this take away joint in Tanjong Pagar Centre. It has 5 bar stools if you prefer to eat there, if available! The Iberico pork jowl (cheek) slices over moist rice with umami sauce, with onsen egg, i also added asparagus. The jowl was super melt in your mouth tender and moist with a slight char taste as it was grilled in a josper grill. The special sauce that moisten the rice compliments the meat nicely. And the onsen egg was just perfect! And.. their homemade chili sauce is excellent, dry chili infused sauce with a hint of coriander. A value-for-money meal with superb restaurant quality meal, i'll return soon to try their other signature: black angus sirloin!
This craft beer brewery is hidden in an industrial estate, and serve affordable, decent food!
Marinated in their house brewed apple cider, the pork is moist and savoury, with a hint of sweet, served with crunchy coleslaw and fragrant garlic butter rice.
Loved the smoky sweet flame grilled corn kernels!
Initially I wanted to queue for the famous "Bukit Purmei Lor Mee" but the queue was way too long(approx. 1 hour plus) waiting time. Shall try it the next time round! #ahhoemeepok #ahhoe #burpple
