Bonjour!
Serving to you authentic French cuisine in a cozy and vintage setting. Their service were all prompt and friendly.
We had their La lotte, which is a butter roasted monkfish with caramelised fennel, gribiche sauce, and sherry vinegar jus. Unlike the typical fish which falls apart easily, this monkfish has a nice chewy texture. It’s light yet flavorful with a little citrusy and nuttiness to it. It’s also not a common fish dish to be found in other restaurants thus it’s pretty worth a try!
Some of their other dishes includes the Escargots (free flow on Wednesday!), Pan-seared foie gras with bak kwa sauce with a velvety texture, their Mignon and Baba Au Rhum, traditional rhum baba with home made chantilly cream.
Not a lot of places in Singapore that you can find good galettes. But definitely you could get your fix at Gather! This was their Salami & Potatoes ($19). I love how their galettes is not overly thick and their seasoning is not overpowering. I like how the galettes showcase the savoriness from the salami against the good soft crunchy texture of those well seasoned potatoes. The sunny yolk added creaminess to the hint of cheesiness in that galette too. Really loved how balanced the flavors are and with the different layer of texture one dish brings!
The duck meat is soft and tender and absorbs all the essence of the sauce into the meat. Literally melts in your mouth. And I like how thick the red wine confit sauce is, heavy in taste yet not too overwhelming. (:
It’s creamy, flavourful, tasty but a lil to the salty side though. Chunks of crab meat and crispy rice crackers gave the dish another taste and mouthfeel.
This dish was unique and the meat is tender too not those tough kind. Their dishes just make you salivate! Its really that good!
A unique twist to typical crepes. Fresh ingredients like tomatoes, eggs, ham, mushroom enveloped within the thin layer of crepe. Fresh and good tasting to such creations! Totally in love with such savory crepes!
