Most of us has tried, soup BKT (peppery/herbal) version. But have you tried the dry version of BKT? Intro by my Friend Willam the Geylang food expert, I finally decided to try.

Serving similar version in Malaysia, the soupy version is packed with tau Kee (bean curd skin) and pieces of tender ribs. The best part was it came with Mee Sua! The Mee sua managed to absorb the savoury taste of the soup with not so overpowering herbal taste. The pity thing was the Mee Sua was too little! Will ask the add more the next time!

Now for the dry version. The ribs were packed with Flavour with additional of mild spiciness thus giving it a shiok factor. Don't forget to add your dough fritters, to snitch up the remaining Essence!

Overall, this shop is an eye opener for me. While there are still lots of ways to reinvent, just one must be willing to explore. Oh! Remember to bring a bottle of water.

For those who love garlic would love this. The lala was covered with garlic giving the dish its own fragrance while also emits its sweetness for the tender meat.

However the meat was too little and there was still some still were not cooked. It could be because they were packed on the day we went.

Overall, it is still a decent dish and I will definitely give it another try when I am there again. Because nothing Beats a good plate of seafood!

Ah Meng Zi char is located in the back alley of Geylang. Recently, they were also nominated for bib gourmand, hence I would highly recommend to make reservations and order in advance. I waited for 50 mins before my food arrived.

When you arrived, you could see almost everyone ordered this charred looking plate of bee Hoon, please... Order it! The been Hoon was nicely executed. It is infused with strong wok hey taste. Don't throw away the charred portion, it adds a crunchy texture!

Overall, it was one of the best been Hoon I have ever tasted and I will definitely be back.
