NOODLES
This is the kind of dish where you either like it or hate it, no in between because of the unqiue flavour. I'm not a fan of alcohol being in my food so it's a 🙅♀️ from me. They are famed for their crystal beehoon which had a crispier texture than regular Beehoon. Lots of clams, squid and prawns in this bowl. If you are up for Alcohol in your meals, I'm pretty sure you'll love the broth here.

To avoid queues, avoid lunch and dinner hour. Their bar chor mee is the kind that have a strong vinegar flavour! Ingredients were fresh (liver didn't have the smelly smell) and portion was great too. I wouldn't say it's worth the wait but if there wasn't any queue, i may have it more frequently.

The broth was peanuty which was kinda weird. Noodles were al dente but the broth ruin this. (Reminder: To have Milk Tea or Toasts on our next visit.)

Not the traditional kind of Mee Siam as this is "Special" Mee Siam ($5.80) which comes with addtional Chicken Cutlet and Fish Fillet. As much as we liked how there is more ingredients, we feel that this Mee Siam lacked the original flavours. It was spicy but the sourness was missing in this bowl of goodness!

Their Tom Yum Linguine ($12.90) was presented with bountiful serving of squid, prawns, clams and mushroom. The base was creamy and with a rather mild spiciness. Tom Yum flavours was somewhat bland but Kae still think that it's great (btw, he is bias to all kinds of pastas).

Marinara Spaghetti's ($12.90) tomato base is overwhelmingly sweet. Kae added lots of chilli flakes and tobasco to balance out the tang while Jae gave it a miss after a mouthful. Ingredients in Marinara Spaghetti is exact to Tom Yum Linguine except there is no mushrooms.

📍 Tonkotsu King (Paya Lebar)
Gyoza ($3) was on the saltier side but skin was thin and crispy with a good amount of meat inside. 6/10

Black Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen's ($11.90) broth is quite peppery, tastes like Bak Kut Teh. Cha Siew melts into our mouths and was flavourful! 8.5/10

Tonkotsu Ramen King Special ($16.90) has additional boiled pork strips to the usuals. We both felt that the pork strips wasn't good and we will not order it again. The highlight for Kae was definitely the flavoured egg as he exclaimed "wah the egg white is soft leh". Not sure what he has been eating before he met me (Jae). 8.5/10

Not sure if Kae was the only one who managed to finish the whole jar of tao ghey or it's the norm. Kae was having a hard time peeling the hard boiled eggs till Jae showed him the way to do it - roll egg on table and the shell will be gone in seconds! From then he refused to peel anymore eggs.
Served in a bag, Doodles have a range of cold ingredients for selection. It's a fuss-free ordering process unless you have problems with decision-making, like Jae. In Jae's bag, there are soba noodles, salmon, kimchi and cucumber. Kae had angel hair pasta, razor clams, squid, kimchi and enoki mushrooms. The kimchi was the clear winner as it brought a blast of spiciness to our taste buds. Each bag also came with sauces. 8/10
Ordered Creamy Chicken Spaghetti but what we received was Penne Carbonara. It was disappointing because Kae prefers Spaghetti. The Carbonara was pretty basic but Kae loves it, sauce was creamy and was topped with generous amount of bacon bits. 6/10
