In Singapore, every coffee shop sure have an Indian stall and every Indian stall sure sell prata. And not all stalls serve the best prata. How do you define best? Well, beside having the best curry, prata has to be thin and crispy. Some prefer to eat with sugar (especially kids), others love to soak their prata with curry. I prefer just to dip with sugar and curry. This stall may not be the perfect stall for Indian food but their prata is awesome. Crispy and Hot. That's the way it should be. Either telur or kosong, nothing fanciful. Just the kind of old school prata. Go check it out.
Craving for prata, come to Saffrons @ tampines Blk 201D. Love the friendly staffs there and has been my favorite joint for over a decade.
This dish needs no further introduction. A traditional Kumpung dish, some say it's origin from Indo and some says Malaysia others says it's from Singapore but I say it doesn't matter. What matters is this kumpung dish should not dies off. It is serve with rice cake with sayur lodeh . Found this newly open outlet at tampines and decided to check it out. I must say it's good. Simplicity is the best. The after taste is light , very authentic. Loving it. If you are somewhere there, try it out.
