Since we started our meal with the cheese fondue, of course we had to finish with the dessert version! Rich liquid chocolate was served with strawberries, banana, pineapple, marshmallows and accompanied by rainbow sprinkles, chopped nuts, puffed rice and shredded coconut. Great way to finish dinner.
Got this blackforest swiss roll to try, together with my beancurd tart order. $11 gets you 8 slices. The cake itself was firmer than I expected, and the filling a bit one dimensional. I love the concept tho - less cream than the usual blackforest layered cake.
Order from their website for pickup or delivery ($20 islandwide). There's a minimum spend of $25 per order.
A pimped out sticky bun - this was good! On the expensive side, but the bun was weighty and topped with plenty of nuts. The glazed hazelnuts were awesome, super crunchy and fresh tasting
I really liked it! It was a surprisingly light dessert - pastry was flaky but not too buttery, whipped cream was airy and fluffy, and chocolate rice is always good!
Super interesting! Filling was liquidy almond paste and a piece of lychee. The only sweetness was from the lychee, and that really made the lychee taste stand out.
Not the most photogenic cake, but this was BOMB. Soft, moist, filled with cempedak pieces, and so much sweetness from the fruit itself. We loved it so much we went back and picked up another 2 cakes. This is supposedly dairy free as well and is only available for a limited time while the fruit is in season.
Chocolate rice porridge. Sounds strange, but I really loved this! Tasted like chocolate rice pudding. Must try!
Blueberry bagels with PB&J ($4.50) and Walnut & Honey ($5). Still prefer the savoury over sweet fillings
The milk tea here runs a little sweeter than average. Got 25% and it was just right for me. But the konjac jelly topping was really delish! It's kinda like grass jelly in texture, but brown sugar flavoured
Tieguanyin Milk Tea with Rainbow QQ $4.40.
Tea taste was really pronounced and the drink was not sweet, even though I got 50% sugar. Enjoyed the toppings, unique. Reminded me of tangyuan.
From the pop up at Takashimaya Food Hall.
Was really excited to relive the Universal Studios butterbeer experience, but this didn't come close. Best part of the drink was the foam, which tasted like marshmallow. Soda had a sorta too sweet medicinal taste.
So they've got these mini pancakes they call Pandora's Box for takeaway. According to the staff, these pancakes are cooked thru 100%, while the soufflé ones they serve at the restaurant are 80% cooked.
We got the Classic ($4), which is a 2 piece pancake filled with chilled handmade fresh cream.
