Blue whale cafe! 💙 Pretty drinks at a pretty cafe! Iced butterfly pea latte (120 baht) - the milk was sweet! But after we stirred the butterfly pea mixture together, it became a weird tasting drink which I didn't quite like. Preferred the summer berry soda (130 baht) actually! 🙊 For mains, we got the open toast blueberry (180 baht) which came with charcoal toast, hazelnuts and espresso syrup (which was too bitter for me). Pancakes with scrambled egg and toast (200 baht) was the average cafe brunch fare. Overall a nice visit! Bought at 100 baht per packet from the fair situated right outside central world! (Because we recalled that the BKK airport's mango sticky rice although nice, was almost 3 times the price). This mango was super fresh and fragrantly sweet! And I loved that the coconut milk and Krispy rice puffs were separately packed - we only ate this at the airport 4 hours after buying, before going through customs! (Oh yes, for BKK customs, u need to finish all your water drinks before you even scan your passport in. Realised that at the basement of iconsiam (which housed all the luxury brands), there was sook siam, which was basically the cheap street food area! The basement was modelled to look like the floating river markets, with stalls selling food on them! The price was also almost similar to the actual street food pricing, but in a cleaner and air conditioning environment! We got the kueh at 15 baht and 3 meat skewers at 45 baht! Do drop by here for a visit! We saw a sign indicating that there will be a BTS built here soon! Along with the spaghetti with crabmeat in pink sauce, and olive fried rice with pork belly! The chicken wings were well marinated and super crispy! The spaghetti was also good, though crabmeat not aplenty. And the sauce got kind of salty after awhile (and we didn't have a drop of water with us and we didn't want to order drinks in the restaurant). The olive fried rice was surprisingly good! Fragrant fried rice with soup which gave all the homey feel! Btw, there is a $0 klook voucher offering free chicken wings as long as you spend min 300 baht or smth! but offer not valid at this central world outlet! We got the less spicy version and it was already quite spicy for me! Then walk around the mall and see which has the longest queue of locals. So that brought us to this restaurant! It was crowded as it was in the first few weeks of opening and it seems to be the first such outlet in Bangkok/Thailand! We went with the crowd favourites which was this minced pork with raw egg. Haha but kind of regretted getting this as the minced pork was really minced and there wasn't much meat. the cutlets may have been better. But with that said, the jap curry was so tasty that you can eat it plain with the rice. This was the large size for 224 baht.
