Tried their signature fried chicken briyani. It was a little salty for me but overall an enjoyable meal!

This was so so tasty! We ordered the Seafood Soup and the Crayfish Seafood Soup. There was a subtle taste difference and I prefer the crayfish version. No regrets ordering the biggest bowl! πŸ˜†

This is one thing that differentiates Quan Lai Kway Chap from other stalls - they offer crispy deep fried intestines which was pretty decent, though some pieces were too tough after frying. The other differentiator is the slightly herbal taste of the braising liquid.

But other than that, we were unfortunately disappointed with the rest of the items - braised intestine, pig skin, pork belly, tau pok and tau kee. Maybe we were there too early (9+ in the morning), all of the above were not tender and lacking in flavors. Perhaps this place is better for dinner/supper when the braise has been simmering for a much longer time.

Love the texture - crispy, not too oily, not too starchy - and it’s topped with juicy plump oysters. Yums!

Fried wanton with truffle mayonnaise ... crunchy and goes so well with the mayo. Came after 2pm and got my food within 5min. So the tip is avoid the peak lunch hours unless you want to practice your patience!

Decent plate of carbonara with a strong cheesy flavor and mushroom aftertaste.

We went to this stall in Bedok Simpang cos the wait at the other stall was way too long. The al dente noodles came with lots of fresh ingredients and the pork was very peppery. While it was a decent bowl of noodles, I personally prefer the taste profile of the stall opposite.

An old school snack that’s so uncommon nowadays. Crispy on the outside with juicy fillings of oysters, prawn and minced meat. Simply delicious!

Nice balance of savory and sweet in this juicy popiah. The skin is a little on the dry side but probably so that it can hold the juicy fillings without breaking apart. $1.60 for normal and $2.10 for extra fillings.

The char siew was excellent and the old-school wanton was small but tasty. The noodles was cooked al dente so it had a nice bite. Overall it
was a good wanton mee but avoid coming during the peak lunchtime hours cos it will be a long wait!

Smooth, creamy, tasty and full of ingredients. A wholesome bowl of comfort food!

The creamy foie gras goes well with the tender, juicy pork cheek. The oozy onsen egg adds another layer of flavor to the dish.
