1-for-1 Burpple Beyond: Ordered a Japanese Purple Yam Cup with Silver Flakes & a Yam & Sea Salt Mixed Cup with Gold Flakes
Don’t do it. The 1-for-1 deal felt like a scam. A regular cup is $6 but the deal requires you to top up $4.50 for the gold or silver flakes, which honestly did not contribute much to its flavor nor aesthetics. Ice cream was mediocre as well, comparable to $1 McDonald’s cone. The sea salt flavor was pretty alright, but we could hardly taste the yam in the other.
If you are a die-hard yam fanatic, either give this a miss completely, or go for the cups with the yam paste & sticks in it.
