Perched on the forth floor, this rooftop bar felt spacious and offers some unique mezze starters. My favourites go to the whitefish baits (crisp and paired with sumac and harissa yoghurt for $18), baked havarti cheese with pita bread ($22).
Of course, topping all these with bubbly prosecco, which is $14 during happy hours. HH is 5-8pm daily
At Mr Stork, a cosy environment is created with the warm lighting and surrounded by little bubbles of people chatting and the cityscape. I particularly enjoyed my fruity Watermelon cocktail, mixed with strawberry liqueur, lime juice, mint with a gin base ($22). This is recommended by the server. Refreshing and makes you want to go for another (before it hits you š)
The sauvignon blanc (black label babich) was a reco from the Vivino app. Rich in taste and just right in it's dryness ($19).
Do make reservations if you'll like to chill here, and ask the hotel lobby for directions to get up (they need to accompany you)
with a lime margarita. This CoronaRita is the best way to unwind in a place oozing with it's mexican chill vibes and amidst those lights. 10/10 for the ambience
Many creative drinks on their menu!
It's indeed a blissful drink with the honeyed taste of kyoho sake, cognac, rose syrup and yuzu juice. It is lighter and topped with that flower, I'm wowed over - looks like what they'll welcome you to heaven with :)
PSA: There's no cover fee to go 1 altitude now and it's mostly empty, hence perfect for date nights or just a chill out with friends (a secret I want to keep to myself too!)
($20+)
KOMA Canary
Hendrick's Gin, saffron syrup and lemon juice makes a sour, citrusy concoction that makes it an easy drink. Lovely that its nestled in a glass shaped like a bird
Sheares in love
Botanist Gin, strawberry & lychee puree and lemon juice brings out a more intense bittersweet flavour. It feels heavier to me with the alcohol masking the berries undertones
$22 each, hosted by KOMA
Love how they take pride in their freshly-brewed craft beers - and the tasting platter is perfect to start off the weekends, alongside the day slowly giving in to the gentle night. The IPA beer tasted the wheatiest to me, with a heavier taste. Their wheat beer's hint of bananas also made it more funky. It gets slightly crowded come sunset,
This highest urban microbrewery hideout will be definitely perfect for a quiet afternoon escapade. A skyline that makes you proud of home
($28+ for 5 craft beers of 0.1L)
This round of craft beers brought us so much squeals of delight. We were spoiled for choice with their creative options at reasonable prices (~$16-18)
My favourites - in order
Fermentation Two - complex tones both sweet and bitter, strong fermentation taste
Zeffer Apple Crumble - a dessert drink like your cider but mixed with sweet cinnamon, vanilla and blackberry tones.
Anytime Ipa - an easy drink thats bittersweet
Acai & Passionfruit Sour - reminds me of cold pressed fruit juice / a mix of sweets. Delightful nevertheless
Industrial chic comes with its cons too, chairs too stiffy to stay for a long round of beers
Had the Royal Negroni with Campari and pineapple rum and infused vermouth.
It has come a long way (100 years) since it was a bartender drink due to its strong taste, and I enjoyed how the taste is slightly bittersweet.
Gr8 initiative with Neon Pigeon donating $5 with each negroni. Also love how the staff will go around and share some sake with you (straight from a big bottle). Such vibes!
By a twist of fate, we found ourselves here at this posh bar that feels intimate and spacious at the same time. We got our own booth and got some G&T to start the night (with a conclusion that maybe G&T is not for me). Vibes of this place makes for a chill night out.
Botanist 30ml - $16 / Hendrick's 45ml - $16
This bespoked drink for my birthday is v interesting - they first ask you what flavours you'll like and they concoct one just for you. I wanted one thats not too sweet with surprising flavours. And i got a gin + kyoho grapes, sourplum, yuzu and lemongrass, with the idea that it will change from sweet to dour with every sip.
It also came in a surprise, hidden in a wooden box with a candle. A+ delivery indeed :-) while the price is a little steep ($25), it does light up the ambience of the meal
The 300th post dedicated to this drink in the great gatsby setting. Had this recommended, and enjoyed every bit of this concoction: french apple brandy with peach, and subtle undertones of almond and spiced apple. Love the poshness of the place perfect for tinkling glasses and chats.
Will probably come back here for dinner & drinks one day too
Underground speakeasy, with drinks of secret alcoholic tones. I got Snow, which tasted like Yakult with white chocolate. I very much love the Hot n Cold, with the hot coconut foam lying over cold alcohol. The Salted Egg also reminds me of a dinosaur egg and it's presentation is en pointe: opening it emits a smell of burnt hay and star anise (which I'm not a fan of). It tastes heavily like toffee too. Many exotic drinks which I'll be back for!!
