Visited One Prawn & Co on a Wednesday night for dinner and had a great experience. The modern Asian seafood grill concept brings cool vibes with wood-fire grilling aromas filling the air.
Tried the prawn toast — crispy on the bottom, flavourful, and addictive. The squid with ink wasn’t noodles as expected but tender squid bits, packed with umami and a smoky charcoal flavour — really interesting and well-executed.
Seafood was fresh, and the cocktails were solid. The secret $5 cocktail menu through a fun little game was definitely worth it — strong drinks with unique twists on classic flavours.
Service was excellent. Our server was knowledgeable and carefully explained the dishes when we asked for recommendations. The chefs even took the time to chat with us, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Gyu Ponzu:
Cold beef slices marinated in ponzu. as an appetiser, this was a tangy and refreshing start to our meal. The citrusy ponzu marinate was the best option to pair with thinly sliced premium beef.
Aburi Shimesaba: We loved this! Torched vinegared mackeral. the fish was super chewy and fresh. The vinegar marinade gave it a tangy zing that made each piece really addictive. This dish stood out the most!
all the food were served very quickly and we're impressed by the customer service!
Purple rice yogurt:
We loved this! It was super addictive with the addition of purple rice into the smooth and creamy yogurt drink. At 25% sugar, the sweetness of the yogurt was just nice for us. Plus we felt healthy after ordering purple rice because of the high nutritional value. Recommend this for those looking for a comforting post-meal refreshment!
Mango smoothies w konjac pearls:
I loved how the mango was so fresh and sweet! The toppings added were also of a chewy texture which complemented the thick smoothie mouthfeel well. Recommended for mango lovers!!
Came on a weekday night and the atmosphere was good - not too noisy
Ordered a medium rare new york strip with red wine sauce. Loved how savoury the sauce was and the meat was also cooked well and tender. Portion was generous.
Service was good as the waiter checked in on how the food was etc. Attentive staff
Highly recommend! 👍🏼
Great chinese food place in Chinatown. Visited during dinner time and enjoyed our meal there.
Great ambience and customer service. Lady attendant was very proactive!
Especially loved their House Poached Yellow Croaker with Soy Sauce, very fresh and tender meat. Typically their fishes range around 600-700+g, so the waiter recommended ordering this one for 2 pax, which is smaller.
Overall a good experience and would recommend.
