I loved the crunchiness of the asparagus and also the flavourful sauce. This is one of the dishes in Royal Pavilion "Pockets of Love" Mother's Day 2015 menu which is available from 1 May to 10 May 2015.
I wouldnāt particularly refer to the duck as royal or any similar superlative adjective but the smoked duck, its wings spread wide in a graceful final flight before consumption, competently checks all the relevant boxes ā crispy skin, nicely greased up and a good mix of fatty and chewy. Your picky Mother will say ānot badā. 3.7/5

Essentially the springiest, boingggggiest and chewiest sotong ever, with asparagus texturally countering the softness with its hard crunchiness, and the signature Royal Pavillionās old grandfather lending its spicy, aromatic body fragance to the occasion. 4/5
