Their sourdough bread is the star here which pairs tastefully with dates and cream cheese
IMHO I also found their banana walnut poundcake to be one of the best ones around SG

Don Ho is a lovely place, sharing the premise with Loloku, it cheers you up immediately when you enter the restaurant.
The tropical decor of flamingoes and plants gives off a relaxed vibe and the food was not too shabby either
We had the kale salad which came with toasted pumpkin and roasted nuts and ordered sides of poached eggs and smashed avocado
Worth a revisit

Smooth halwa kulfi atop a deconstructed carrot crushed pistachios and puffed rice base to end a meal at Thevar. Food was tasty and waitstaff excellent
7.5/10😊

Think ondeh ondeh chaat style.. bite size crispy puri taken in one crunchy bite with the masala cream bursting in your mouth. Very flavourful start to a great meal

Look at this.. such a perfectly done matcha latte with Matchaya’s tea powder and a good balance of milk to matcha ratio. Some matcha lattes are overpoweringly milky and most times too sweet but the level of sweetness here showcased the premium matcha flavour.
Made by the in-house barista who told me he doesn’t like matcha so can u imagine how good his coffees are gonna be?

Smashed avo with scrambled tofu(yes, not eggs) atop a heong-charred slice of sourdough with rocket leaves and bruised tomatoes.
Although not (yet) on Beyond a set consisting of any mains and any drink for $15 is something I’d fork out money for. The sourdough was charred just enough for char and taste and we topped up $4 for the ondeh ondeh cake made inhouse with a light chiffon cake housing coconut gulamelaka cream
Coffee was good too and the waitstaff: faultless

Shouldn’t have ordered this for dessert.. sounded nice and looked nicer in the menu but sadly was a tasteless disappointment. Four layered creamcheese redbeanpaste matcha and 4mmthickspongecake made up an insipid rendition of a dessert.
The rest of the meal was also not up to par.. my bara chirashi donburi was only big enough for my chihuahua and he’d prolly reject it for lack of freshness

Pazzion is a brand usually associated with ladies shoewear but they have since branched out into the cafe business serving bistro food. Tried their prawn linguine which had two large prawns in a cabonara based linguine.. pretty good I’d say. The crabmeat pomelo salad had too much dressing on it which made it jelat after a while. Service was good and refreshingly friendly.

A casual bistro that serves up decent dishes with great service and wont break your wallet. From top to bottom we had mushroom gnocchi $23 caramelised brussel sprouts(yummy!) $10 and pollo with couscous $26
Gnocchi was crispy on the outside and creamy like inside which i found delicious and the sousvide chicken was cooked to near perfection. The game changer was the brussel sprouts which were crunchy with the right amount of sweet and tangy.
Ended our meal with their banana bread and coffee
Total damage $87.. worthy even without a deal

Yardbirds signature watermelon caged chicken needs no introduction but special mention is their buttermilk biscuits. Scone like with crispy edges and a soft buttery centre it was good enough to be eaten on its own
$10 for three nuggets of joy

From when we arrived until we left there was not a moment of dissatisfaction we could fault the restaurant with. Service was attentive, food was good, portions were adequate, pace between courses was not draggy and the price was surprisingly reasonable for starters mains and dessert.
And the view! IMHO the best take of the marina barrage so far
Be sure to go up to the rooftop bar for a great paranomic view of the marina bay
Its a no brainer 8.5/10 for me😊

Haven’t been able to go to Kins for their much hyped burnt cheesecake so it was a must try when we saw this at Keong Siak Bakery. A very very well baked cheesecake, checked all boxes where taste sweetness and burnt bits came together.. only issue I couldn’t decide which was better!$7.50 fir original $8 for matcha
