Loved the combination of mascarpone mousse, strawberry compote and basil sponge in this pretty cake, as the amount of berry compote was generous enough to cut through the mousse, while the refreshing basil sponge elevated ✨the whole cake to a whole new level. There was also a biscuit at the bottom of this cake, which made it quite hard to cut through oops 🙂
Wasn’t expecting myself to like this cake THIS much but something about the perfectly torched meringue and the tangy yuzu + cakey cake made me super happy while eating this. 🤩👅 pls get this cake to try (or give it to me tia 🤪)
The chou pastry was rather thin going well with the cream and the crunchy nougatine. The cream was light in flavour and not too sweet, with the sweetness coming from the crunch nougatine. I would like this more if the chou pastry was more crisp on top.
Definitely recommend the cod! Make sure you make a booking beforehand!
Worth it if using Burpple 1 for 1. We ordered the beef rendang, pork ribs Assam, ayam buah keluak and ayam panggang blue ginger. Enjoyed the chicken dishes. $2.80 per pax for free flow rice, sambal and achar. Much more value for money than Candlenut.
Next were the Takeshi Kaidan & Salmon Kaidan Sets which were beautifully presented in flight of stairs! Taste wise, these sushis don’t disappoint too, you can really taste the freshness and quality in each piece of sushi!
Burrata and pesto has got to be the most delightful combination ever! Perfect with the tangy tomato paste on the thinly rolled out pizza dough.
Used Burpple 1 for 1, this used to be one of the four dishes you could choose from for 1 for 1, but now you can’t.
Nevertheless the broth was thick and flavourful. The noodles were the right texture and had that bounce. The tiger prawns were big and didn’t taste super fresh, but good enough. It was also topped with loads of mini shrimps. I appreciated the portion! $28 for this is pretty steep though.
Located at The Offshore Building along North Canal Road, this bistro bar is known for their alcoholic cakes and coffee for a mid-afternoon boozy perk-me-up! Pair their Bailey's Irish Cream Pancakes ($23), M18 Cake Jars ($18) and The Flaming Surprise ($28) - a yakult soju ice cream cake with their M18 Coffee ($8.90), choosing between an option of Whisky Black or Baileys Latte. Talk about a drunken good time!
Ordered the ice cream platter as well as the pastry platter. The ice cream was nice and rich but the different flavours were pretty similar (all chocolate based). Pastry was interesting to try but goes better with the ice cream - it’s quite rich and sweet so it’s best to share with someone!
flat white tasted smooth and there's no bitter aftertaste (: staff said it was double shot
1 for 1 beverage seems like a pretty good deal! wonder why it's called PPP coffee haha for a moment i heard it as PBT 🙈
