Simply Egg-cellant. The outer layer is crispy, to the point where you could almost crack it with your knife. The mushroom paste was rich and tasty and the egg was warm and gooey. The vibe here is super chilled and the food is consistently good. This place is super packed on Sunday, so do drop by early to avoid the crowd.

...or as I call it ‘the skinny fried rice’. I 💖 fried rice but sometimes I want to cut down on my carbs. Solution: swap rice for cauliflower. This fried rice is made with cauliflower, house-made kimchi, soy-marinated tofu, carrots and broccoli. Very flavourful and surprisingly filling.

Nasi Lemak is every Malaysian’s comfort food. But, I can’t help feeling guilty after a friend told me the calories and saturated fats that are in a plate of Nasi Lemak. At The Good Co, you can have plates after plates of this iconic dish without the risk of getting a heart attack. If you are in Ipoh, you must give JJRoll a visit. It is a bakery which specialises and sells ....*drumroll*...yes you got it - Swiss Roll!! There is a huge variety of flavours to choose from such as Dragon Fruit, Orange Tango, Kiwi, Chocolate, Fresh Durian, Cempedak, Cream Cheese, and many more. You will have a field day picking your box. I suggest getting the mixed box if you can’t make up your mind. The Swiss Rolls are pillowy soft and airy. Do eat them as soon as you can for there is no preservatives added. Note: The flavours of these rolls are made with natural ingredients hence you will notice they are less sweet and has a milder taste compared its counterparts.

Poached eggs seated on top of a delicious spicy chickpea cake, paired with a thick cut of Atlantic salmon steak, garnished with chilli labneh, pickled onions, and cherries tomatoes. The dish is nicely plated and it sure does look good on pictures. Food that looks amazing on your Instagram and taste equally good too, what more can you ask for.
