Ayam Panggang (Grilled Chicken) $5.30 - for this set you get the rice, a bowl of soup, an omelette and a large chicken thigh. Love the curry and the black sauce! The grilled chicken is so tender and juicy.

Went to the Westgate branch and queued up 25 mins for this. It’s an open concept takeaway kiosk where you can see the process of the homemade traditional egg sponge cakes being baked and sliced when you queue up. Ordered the cheese flavor cake and felt it taste even better refrigerated. So light and fluffy!

Butter Ribs ($8) - covered with condensed milk powder and curry leaves, the pork was fragrant and slightly sweet. Drunken Cold Cockles ($6) - it was served cold, loaded with garlic, chives, and doused in a spicy sauce. Honey Fried Chicken ($8) - the chicken was well marinated as the inside was tender and flavourful. It was deep fried till the outside was crisp. These three dishes with two plates of rice came up only to $24. So cheap and delicious! Definitely will come back and try the other dishes.

This is a place I will always visit for seafood whenever I'm in JB. Ordered the Chilli Crab, Lala and Marmite Chicken. Everything was cheap and good!

Tried two stalls at one go. Ordered the fried porridge for 2 pax ($6) from Royal J's Seafood. It's my first time trying fried porridge. I liked that it was laced with tasty ingredients like shredded cuttlefish, diced yam, fried shallots and crispy pork lards with a certain amount of wok hei flavor in the porridge. Ordered the Wagyu Beef Don ($12.90) and Dragon Fries ($6) from Don which is just next to Royal J. I felt that the beef slices were slightly over cooked and was quite disappointed. Enjoyed the Dragon Fries which were charcoal fries served with truffle flakes. Would like to come back again and give the Mentaiko Salmon Don a try.

Tanuki Raw is located on the fourth floor of Orchard Central. It's my second time
visiting the restaurant and it's definitely one of my favorites. I was given an outdoor seat this time and I loved the alfresco dining ambience. Ordered the Foie Gras Truffle Yakiniku Donburi ($23) and the Salted Duck Egg Char Siew Donburi ($18). I could just eat the Foie Gras Truffle Yakiniku Donburi everyday! A generous portion of perfectly pan-seared foie gras, accompanied by tender and flavourful US Black Angus short rib with an oozy onsen egg, mixed with truffle soy and black garlic brown butter over Tanuki’s signature rice. Every mouthful just brought me to heaven. Another choice would be the Salted Duck Egg Char Siew Donburi. Roasted slow cooked pork belly marinated in salted duck egg char siew sauce and served with an onsen egg over Tanuki's signature rice. The former would still be my favorite and I would definitely go back Tanuki for it again!

Queued up 40 mins for this...but it sure did not disappoint. Had the crystal crayfish delight $6. The soup was so flavorful and had all the seafood goodness in it. Dory fish, meatballs and tofu were added to the soup as well. The kway teow noodles that came with the soup was tossed in sweet, savory sauce. Perfect combination!

Was feeling hungry and ordered McDonald's for supper. McDonald’s has launched a new limited edition Eggcellent McSpicy burger. The twist on the original McSpicy features spicy chicken thigh with egg. The Dinosaur Mcflurry is a must try! Delight in a creamy blend of smooth vanilla soft serve and rich chocolate malt. The generous amount of milo powder sprinkled on top...yummmmmmmmz!

Commonground is a halal certified casual dining place located at Our Tampines Hub. Ordered the Mint Lychee Tea and it tasted refreshing. The Oriental Sesame Chicken Wings were crispy and coated with their special homemade sauce. The Cordon Bleu was nicely done with cheese oozing out from the middle. I'm not a fan of chicken breast and I was surprised it still tasted juicy. My favorite among all the dishes was the Baked Cheesy Salmon Ravioli. With its bold flavours and those overloaded cheese, it’s definitely something you should order if you are not watching your calories!

KOKI Tamagoyaki is a Japanese confectionary shop located at B1 of Raffles City. Desserts on display are known as Shuu aka Choux Puffs. 4 flavours were available: Matcha, Black Sesame, Raspberry Rose and Vanilla, each priced at $4.30. Each Shuu is piped with a generous amount of custard filling within a thin layer of crispy croquant. OMG these are so goodddddd and satisfying!

Brothers in Fine food is situated on the second floor of Tampines West Community Centre. The interior is small and cozy. It is a halal cafe without any gst or service charge. Tried the following items: Peach Iced Tea ($6.50) Thai Milk Tea ($6.50) The Peach Iced Tea was served with slices of peaches in it. Had the Thai Milk Tea ice blended. It was fragrant without being overly sweet. Kelantan Roasted Chicken ($16) Half a chicken, sous vide and roasted, Kelantan perchik spicy coconut cream glaze. The sauce was so good and matched well with the tender chicken. Beef Steak ($15) Sous vide, served with beetroot thyme purée. Love how the steak was marinated, the slices were tender and juicy. The beetroot thyme purée was a perfect match and brought out the sweetness of the steak. Strawberry Shortcake ($8.50) The Strawberry Shortcake was served in a very big slice. It was dense and tasty.
