My favourites are the Cheese Cap Matcha ($4.10/$5.50) for its thick and creamy cheese foam paired with matcha + brown sugar pearl; and
Matcha Strawberry Latte ($3.90/$4.90) with strawberry pop boba. It’s a pretty layering of strawberry milk, matcha tea and an addictive burst of strawberry pop boba, i find this a refreshing treat and not overly sweet (sugar level at 25%).

Recently opened, @fujiprawnnoodle at Geylang Lor 21 offers flavourful-punchy broth, fresh prawns; with the large lobsters being especially noteworthy. Both the soup and dry versions were good but I prefer the latter more. The potion is slightly bigger than usual and there’s thinly sliced pork meat and fishcake in it. A delicious bowl of prawn noodle has got to be piping hot and makes you slurp non-stop. Besides that, fresh crustacean and MSG free broth are important elements too - the prawn noodle here are exactly that! .

I’ll start with the Bebek Goreng Bali with Sambal Matah (S$26.00) which is highly recommended. Marinated for 24 hours before being deep-fried till skin is crispy, the duck meat is succulent (read: juicy) and very well marinated. It is coated with desiccated coconut and an assortment of spices & herbs for a richer taste & flavour — great eating on its own or simply enjoy with their homemade sambal. I think i am biased, i find food that’s from Malaysia is especially sedap lah.

Resembling closely to those i had in Japan, i’m happy to find @toriyard here at Bishan Park 2 serving a variety of charcoal grilled meat, seafood & vegetable on skewers, udon/porridge, donburis, awasemono (side dish) and more. Find new dishes to the menu such as Salmon Skin Salad ($14.00), crispy fish skin served over a bed of refreshing greens; Wagyu Sumiyaki ($20.00), charcoal grilled wagyu steak with a delicious smoky aroma from the grill and Ika Maruyaki ($22.00), grilled hokkaido giant squid with grated ginger and lemon.
My favourite is the Tsukune ($6.00) a large chicken meatball on a skewer, served in a bowl with onsen egg. The large piece of chicken meatball was very well seasoned and went well with the sweet teriyaki sauce top with scallions and seaweed. Dinner is complete with a delicious and flavourful bowl of Buta Karamiso Zousui ($13.00) spicy pork belly porridge. -

From the outside, his restaurant is humble as there is little to hint on what’s happening beyond the tinted glass panels surrounding entrance.
The first dish - kobachi (literally means small bowl) - is an appetiser of warm, smooth mound of fresh beancurd skin topped with sweet lobes of uni and ikura. Lovely indeed as it pops and melts in mouth into a briny, umami burst.
