We paid $52.90 for one whole chicken, a small spinach with three eggs, three plates of rice, the tofu + eggs and we were very full by the end. The chicken was tender (although we would have preferred more sauce) and the spinach dish was excellent. Iām normally not a fan of vegetables but I found myself going back for more. The tofu + eggs thing was normal.
Finally got to try my matcha doughnut! Itās got a very rich matcha taste, and I can even taste a bit of the umami flavour from the tea! The doughnut itself is very fluffy and a little chewy and I really like this texture.
My only ācomplaintā is that itās a little on the small side, but that can be remedied by buying more (;
This was good - you can swap the honey for almond butter (which is what I did) and the bowl was sweet but not too sweet. If you like the fruits in here (aƧai + pitaya blend topped with banana, blueberries, strawberries, passion fruit, coconut flakes, granola), then youāll definitely like this.
It made for a surprisingly filling (and healthy) dinner.
I love speculoos and so I was immediately attracted to this milk because the description promised āspeculoos cookie butter, lotus biscuits, peanut drizzle.ā While the drink was nice and sweet, it tasted mainly of peanut butter and I didnāt taste the speculoos or lotus biscuit.
P.s. I think I paid $2.90 but it may have been $3.90. Iāve already forgotten but I remember it wasnāt too expensive (this is for a ātallā drink, thereās also a larger āhugeā version)
The cakes here came highly recommended and they did not disappoint! Not only was the top garnished with speculoos crumbs, the base was made of a thick speculoos biscuit base. The cheese was rich but not too rich (aka jelat rich), and paired perfectly with the base.
The cheesecake was $11.90 for 4 pieces, and we bought it intending to share among the 4 of us. But my friend summed up the situation aptly when she said āwhy are we sharing? I can see myself eating all four piecesā.

Went to Geometry after lunch today and saw that they had Genmaicha ($3.90)!!!! I tried it and it really tasted like the ice-cream version of the actual drink - smooth green tea with toasted rice. The texture was rich and smooth and I polished my cup off in no time.
A definite must-try for all tea lovers!
My colleague always orders the beef noodles from this stall (01-115) so I had to give it a go and see why sheās so loyal to it. Well, I get the fuss now. You have silky noodles with tender beef in a flavourful soup - if there werenāt so many other great stalls at ABC, I would be coming here every day too.
Me and my familyās favourite egg tarts! My mom is partial to the plain ones (also $1.90 for one) and while I also love them, thereās something irresistible about the Pandan egg tarts. The taste of Pandan in the silky custard filling is distinct but not overpowering and pairs beautifully with the biscuit-like crust.
I have been a fan of these from my first bite.
First time at Fat Boys and I decided to go with the Wimpy (Beef) since Iām not very adventurous. It was DELICIOUS. The patty was juicy and I loved it with the bacon and cheese. The whole burger was really good, as were the fries.
I finished my burger and helped my sister finish hers.
Located in Clementi Arcade, just in front of Cold Storage, this bakery is convenient for a quick break before or after grocery shopping (that said, I dapaoed my pastry)
The prices match the vibe of the shop (fairly high) but the pain au chocolate was much bigger than most, which lessened the pain of my wallet. The pastry was flaky and buttery and the chocolate was just right in terms of sweetness. My only ācomplaintā would be that the amount of chocolate relative to pastry was fairly little and I would have preferred to have chocolate in every bite.
Still, I will be coming back to try more.
Decided to try the Fish and Chips with Salted Egg Sauce ($7.50) from Hungry Jack and it was... not worth it. The fish was decent, but the sauce didnāt resemble salted egg sauce. Iām actually not sure what it resembles because there wasnāt much taste.
And letās not mention the fact that it looks completely different from the picture.
Would not recommend and I doubt Iāll be buying from this stall again (at least for the foreseeable future)
Iām lucky enough to grow up near Balmoral so this is like our neighbourhood bakery. While the chicken pie has gotten smaller over the years, the beef pie is still the same large size thatās perfect for one. The crust is flaky and tasty and the mince filling is generous. These are best eaten warm and I find myself craving this ever so often and luckily, my cravings are easily fulfilled.
