You know how in Korean movies they dunk their entire bowl of rice into the stew right after the stews are set in front of them? You can do it here at Three Meals a Day β€” no judgement whatsoever from the Korean patrons. Love how puffy the rice gets after it soaks up the spicy stew and they're so generous with their ingredients! Also don't be afraid to ask for more of your side dishes β€” its refillable!

Heard a lot about Dignity Kitchen and the good works they do and I'm so happy to be able to finally try the famous Roger's Rojak! Roger was once a financial advisor but was left paralyzed in the right side of his body after a sudden stroke. For someone who only has mobility in one arm, he can sure make a REALLY good rojak! I opted for the prawn paste version (there's a plum paste version for vegetarians) and it was so tasty! My colleague brought this to the office for me yet the you tiao still remained nice and crunchy πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» will definitely check out more of the stores in the future!

This was taken 10 seconds after receiving the heated up muffin 😍 Just look at how melted the chocolate chips are!!! 😱 I'm not one to order muffins at a cafe but I decided to try it anyway and this was so good! Moist on the inside and crisp on the outside πŸ‘πŸ» Definitely a must try when you're in the vicinity or touring Enabling Village (which btw is really big and the shop has a lot of really trendy cups + mugs that make great gifts!)

Okay nothing comes close to this rock solid durian cake. It's packed with creamy durian mousse β€” best if you wanna eat the king of fruits without getting your fingers dirty! It's pretty pricey ($71.40 for 15cm) for its size, but I really think it's worth every penny!

It's been a while since I had such good roast HK meats! While I'm a HUGE fan of the fatty kind, I appreciate how tasty the thin-skinned, roasted kind are. HOWEVER, what you should really come for is the Crispy Roasted Pork. WAH this sio bak is bomb! The fats just below the super crispy skin literally melts in your mouth! 😱😱😱 Definitely comes highly recommended!

Stopped by this small, humble bakery at Telok Blangah for some cakes over the weekend and boy, they were good! I had a slice of the Pandan Cheesecake (highly recommended!) and the Jasmine Yuzu Cheesecake. Love how the layers are all distinctly flavourful on their own and yet they come together so beautifully! Must try!

Cheesecake lovers β€” you'd love this option from Delicius Pasticceria! Known as the "King" cheesecake (check out my other post about the "Queen"), this Pomme Fromage ($6) has got an apple compote (very tasty!) buried near the bottom of the cheesecake for that lingering fruity aftertaste. If you choose to dine in, the staff will plate your slice of cake with whipped cream and fresh fruits on the side, very pretty and very worth it! P.S. I finished it before taking a photo of my slice so here are the ones on display instead πŸ˜…

Love the Japanese cakes here! All so light but so flavourful β€” perfect for a post-dinner treat when you have just that little bit of space left πŸ˜‚ This is the "queen" cheesecake, Delicius, that is made with Brie de Meaux cheese that makes it just a wee bit cheesier. See the yellow gel on the top? That's the super tasty apricot jam that helps to balance the flavours πŸ‘πŸ» I forgot to snap a pic of my slice so here's a pic of the ones on display instead πŸ˜…

Can't recall how many times I've had this cake during my college days (read: quite possibly every birthday celebration in class because everyone was THAT obsessed and wanted it as their birthday cake too) but I ain't complaining because it's soooo good! Ferrero Rocher lovers will LOVE this β€” it's like a supersized version with more of that smooth, creamy hazelnut spread and more of that wafer crunch 😍 Super affordable and so delicious, what more can you ask for?

It's been ages since I last had this Strawberry Shortcake cake but I'm glad to report that standards have not dipped! There's the same soft, vanilla sponge cake that I love as a kid β€” it's light enough to warrant a second slice! Love how affordable the cake is and how readily available it is around Singapore (no pre-order required!) β€” great for large gatherings as it caters to most people's tastebuds πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ’–
