With charred onion puree at the base, topped with kelp crumbs and a savoury meringue, the XL Clams and Mussels have this umami sweetness in them which makes it really appetising.
The Chilli Crab Rissoto is cooked al dente, the rich and intense chilli crab flavour and abundance of fresh crabmeat sprinkled on it makes this the standout dish for the day.
The barley Pannacotta was both a palate cleanser as well as a toothsome end to the scrumptious meal. Paired with coffee crumbs and berries, it was a lovely blend of different flavours and texture of the various ingredients.
We also tried one of their signature dishes, the Roasted Black Grouper is grilled till the skin turns golden brown and has a light crisp. It is then simmered in mussel vichyssoise, a soup made with potatoes, leek and pickled shimeiji with a hint of garam masala

There are also sides such as salads , snacks and a wide range of cocktails, wine and beer.
Special mention goes to the vegan burger Angerling, select sourdough, multigrain or naked bun and have a flavourful wheat patty paired with mushrooms drenched in piquant 3-pepper sauce within.
The burger is huge enough for sharing but we just cant get enough of it.
The beer battered onion rings were really addictive with its thin batter having a delightful crisp and there are also different housemade sauces for us to dip the onion rings in.
All in all, lovely ambience and delicious gourmet burgers!

Originated from Guangzhou, China in 1920, Mak’s Noodles was founded by Mak Woon Chi and renowned for its wonton noodle.
The egg noodles remain springy even when they have been drenched in the gravy or immersed in the soup for a long time. The wonton has a thin, silky skin with a huge and chewy prawn within.
The Tossed Noodle with Chutney Pork stands out easily with the egg noodles well coated by the savoury meat sauce.
I have never been a huge fan of congee but the flavour of Mak’s All Congee left a mark on me as it fully absorbed the essence of the ingredients.
The side dishes such as Beef Brisket, Beef Tendon and Boiled Pork Liver are really addictive and they serve as tasty appetisers for the mains.
