You can notice the whole prawn poking out in this one along with boiled egg and turnips. Slightly sweet and refreshing. Good on its own or you can even try it with DIY dipping.๐
@Qijisignaturesg is an old school eatery delivering local delicacies for decades. I want to check out their mee rebus some time and order the regular one to try. Their outlet in AMK is crowded with limited seating space like a music chair.๐คฏ
Despite the queue number machine, I found myself puzzled that my number got call twice. Waited for 5 minutes and got my Mee Rebus bowl. The bowl has everything I wish for like tofu, egg, tiny prawn sprinkle, boiled egg, sliced green chilli, fried garlic, chopped coriander stem.๐๐ They use whole grain noodle making it a healthier choice. I particularly enjoy my mee rebus gravy as it is so flavorful (slightly sweet and salty with a kick of ๐ถ). Totally well worth it for this dish.
Not always available on weekday eve. or perhaps sold out. This is a value pack for someone who miss their weekly ๐ฅ superfood intake. Comes with ginger & kikkoman soy sauce. Avo is fresh & not too tiny piece like those makis from where we regularly buy from. ๐คซ
Normally eaten as a breakfast dish, I gave this "Lontong" dish a try at lunch time. ๐ฅฅ The creamy coconut milk soup accompanied with 2 spoonful of condiments (serunding and sambal chilli) is rich yet not too overpowering. I started diving into the soup and found lots of surprise goodies like tempeh, tofu, hard boiled egg with plenty of veggies (turnips, long bean, cabbage). There are 4 pcs of rice cake in my dish so this is more filling than I thought plus it looks vegetarian, what's not to like? ๐คฉ #michelinbibgourmand2023
Want to check in this place for some time. I wouldn't pretend to know more than wanton mee fans so just put some facts about them here. 1) Their original wonton noodle shop is est. since 1985. 2) Their wonton mee is served in SIA 1st class & biz class ie. classified as iconic hawker food. With these 2 reasons, I just pop there and try it lor! ๐
๐ Noodle amount is generous, well coated with their sauce which I think is the highlight here (if you are into sweet nutty sauce). I am a savoury chilli type so not too swept away here. They give 2 pcs of #wontons (not tightly wrapped) with decent amount of char siew for this wonton noodle dry dish (menu 1). They also treat their veggie right (crunchy & not soggy meh). Maybe better try their crispy fried wonton as a snack next time!๐ก

This is the set to go for if you love Otah and super generous Peanuts! ๐ฅ๐ฒ I used to live in Novena and frequent this stall. Now I still come back for a Nasi Lemak refill from time to time. The sambal chilli here is quite sweet but you can really offset that with their fried egg and thick slab of Otah + the coconut gragrant rice + 2 Slices of cucumber and I am in my element! ๐๐๐ฅฅ
There is a hit and then there is a miss! This one falls into the latter category. The bialy supposed to be the healthier version of bagel with its lighter texture. Somehow it's quite chewy and greasy at the base. It could have had more desirable texture to have this bialy fresh out of the oven. However, when checking its oily base, I am not too keen to reheat and dispel it. The generous amount of sliced potato, onion & poppyseed gives a soft pat on my shoulder, maybe it's not my bialy day. ๐ค
At 8:30 am sharp, people are already lining up to buy #woodlandssd freshly baked goods. So many sourdough choices to pick from. SD almond croissant is unlike anywhere else croissants. With denser texture, it tastes more like kouign-amann covered with crunchy sliced almonds. Just take a mouthful of this with your cuppa, the slightly sour full body of ๐ฅ goes so well with sweet almond paste. ๐
@starbuckssg We guess it's time to update your mooncake flavors. We have been having the same flavors for at least the last 3 mooncake seasons. If the quality would remain the same, we would make an exception for the flavor change request. Somehow we both agree that it tastes similar to brownies than mooncakes as time passed by.
Walnut fans would find this focaccia so satisfying. Walnut pieces are big in the bun. By the time you finish them, you would just notice that the BFF red bean is also there! ๐
When you want slightly sour & tangy soup for brunch, this is the one. The junction 8 outlet's got an outdoor seating. Slurping this mee siam along with sipping Teh O warm my tummy with a bit of chilli & tamarind. The ingredients (shredded chicken, vermicelli noodle, boiled egg, Puffed Tofu) are packed and filling for a person. I might come back to check out their ondeh Ondeh toast set ($5.80) later.๐
As a big fan of Vadai and Idli, we eye this stall for a long time. They are the original creator of the ever popular "Prawn Vadai", the prawn centered Vadai with the fresh green chilli munch! ๐ถ๐ฅฏ ๐คค

As i have to pick up someone at airport, so why not try this at B2 Jewel? ๐ Their shop is tucked in the food corner near the Food Republic. My order is 2รPrawn Vadais ($1.90), 1 Grago Vadai ($1.90), 1 Vege Vadai ($1.50) p.s. Grago = shrimp paste. The guy gave me 5 chillis as if he could guess I am heavy in chilli department. ๐

I kept these Vadais in my bag until I am back from Jewel (bad practice better eat while it's hot). Thanks to my oven 180 degree 2 mins, I can have them hot & crispy again. They are super! Prawn vadai is a must, vege vadai also good for green munchers. The grago one doesnt like to be reheated so make sure you dont leave it too long in the oven. All in all, I will repeat my order if i want to indulge. ๐๐ฅ

๐ก Feedback for the shop: it's quite put off to see hot drink like masala tea for $3 although it is not the only shop we spot this price for drink (saw Teh Tarik at Pita Tree for the same price) but might be better to do some promo offer by pairing Vadai for your customers, don't you think? ๐ค #heritageshop #prawnvadai #localeat
