One of the rare places where you get to try both "black" and "white" BKT, aka Malaysian herbal style ๐ฒ๐พ and Singaporean peppery style ๐ธ๐ฌ. At first I preferred the herbal one, but after a while it got a bit too salty for me. The peppery soup grew on me towards the end of the meal.
By the way, I saw one of the wait staff dig his nose ๐๐ผ and it was a major turn off.
Salted egg yolk cookies ๐ณ, parmesan cheese cookies ๐ง, pineapple parmesan tarts ๐ and green pea cashew cookies ($22/ flavour). I have to say that the parmesan cheese cookies are very addictive, so much that I finished them on the first day.
If you would like a combination like this, you can try their Happiness Bundle ($38.80) or for a bigger portion, Prosperity Bundle ($78.80).

Hell yeah! Lavastone Steakhouse has opened an outlet at PasarBella @ Turf City. It is located at the new extension.
The steaks do not come cheap though, this 200gm M4 grade steak costs $58. I feel that price point would be an issue for most people. Maybe including normal ribeye steaks might draw more crowd.

Mum pan-fried the Carrot Cake ($23.80 for 500gm) and served it with some chye poh and garlic. The generous amount of dried shrimp and Chinese sausage which were already in the cake, made it really fragrant.
My personal favourite is the Nian Gao ($23.80 for 540gm). After frying it with egg, the soft and gooey brown cake becomes a great dessert and snack!

Irregular meals and long days. Having prompt food delivery helps a lot. Quite a good combo to have if you are hungry. However, the cinnamon buns were inedible.
