The mini beef 🐮 don (330Yen) was actually pretty good. We added an extra 150Yen for a side salad and soft boiled egg. However, despite clarifying with us a couple of times, they still got our orders wrong. Instead of sesame dressing, we got French. Also, we got a raw egg instead of soft boiled. 😞
It would have been great. Except the chips were not salty enough and tasted very ordinary. The soft serve was extremely milky. I would give Calbee+ a miss.
Soy sauce based soup with blend of chilli spice, garlic and Yuzu citrus. I chose the Tanrei soup with has additional chicken and vegetable oil, creating a more robust broth.
I must admit the redness of the chilli 🌶 oil scared me for a while but with just a hint of spice. The Yuzu, garlic and sesame taste really came through. Now I know why this is a place that others would highly recommend.
Animal seal donut (210Yen) from Floresta Nature Doughnuts at Koenji. We had to change trains at Shinjuku and take a Rapid train via Chuo Line to Koenji. It was a short walk from the train station. They have a wide variety on the website but only about 4 designs available at the store.
Boy, was it a great decision! This chashu egg ramen (750Yen) is overall my favourite noodles in Japan thus far. Everything about it was good. Only thing they need to improve on is the egg which was cooked through.
@the_ivyvines got the top seller which was pork (1,500Yen) and mine was the second, a beef one (1,440Yen). The beef could have been at least medium but the sauce was fantastic! Was surprised to get such awesome standards for a takeaway box.
We are setting off from Sapporo to Tokyo this morning. Can't wait to try all the goodies! I have been overdosing on all the sweets, I think I'm going to need more savoury.
Ichiryuan, located at the basement of Hokuren Building. We tried their highly recommended Miso Noodle with Roast Pork (1,000Yen for a small one). The chashu is one of the best I had but noodles honestly were pretty alright. The soup base is made with ingredients sourced specially from Hokkaido and have been their popular dish for the past 8 years.
According to @the_ivyvines it is polite to slurp your noodles, not that I don't find it nice but I didn't want to dirty my white top. 😁
I must say I'm quite proud of my design! This is a special Christmas cookie making workshop by Shiroi Koibito.
However I'm sad to say my camera has died on me 😫 I'm going to have to find a new one in Tokyo!
Strawberry soft serve (300Yen) from Shiroi Koibito Park. Not too sweet and not too milky. Yummy! Now it's time for my cookie making workshop!
They have a restaurant called Owl's serving their famed Soup Curry. It's actually pretty appetising and the set comes with calpis soda and rice. Sorry for the overexposed picture, it was very sunny!
Yes it's Kinotoya Bake's famous cheese tarts! I'm having it cold for breakfast but I could only imagine how amazing it must have been when @the_ivyvines ate it freshly baked yesterday. It's so good she wants to go back and buy 6 more!
