Earthy and flavourful, perfecr with soft boiled egg. When it was served, the truffle aroma lingers in your nose. However after a few mouthful the truffle seem to dissipates. Egg noodles which was made from scratch was chewy, and had a nice al dente texture which I like. Wish there was some minced meat which could go along. Would come back for the noodle.
Was pleased with the aroma when it was served. Noodles was al dente, fishball which was claimed to be without flour was bouncy with 100% yellowtail fish meat, fishcake was bouncy and not oily. Chilli was just the right amount of spiciness. A hearty and delicious bowl of noodles.
This was disappointing as the pancake was too dense to my liking and as a result could not finish it. Ice cream balances out the jelat-ness of the dense pancake with the sauce. Not something I’ll go back to.
Beef was great, and had a side of potatoes. However I do find this on the pricey side as it was not filling. Meat was tender and juicy and had a slight charred to it. Skip this if you’re not a beef fanatic.
Spanish omelette with “chorizo” sausage and “allioli” sauce. Was surprised to see lots of ingredients in the omelette. The omelette was done right not too dry an was extremely flavourful. The bread was well toasted with the tomato salsa.
Ordered big Charcoal Seafood Paella for sharing. Felt that rice was a bit mushy but definitely flavourful as the prawns and mussels were fresh. Slightly on the pricier side as this was enough for 2 pax even though the servers said it’s for 4-6 pax.
Thick, frothy shot of freshly-whisked hojicha layered onto fresh oat milk. Slightly sweetened by default but I opted for no sugar to savour the richness of the tea.
Three ways to eat.
1. Enjoy as it is without adding anything.
2. Add some of the condiments (Spring Onion, Wasabi and Nori) to your liking and enjoy.
3. Make Ochazuke (rice with soup) with the condiments and Dashi broth from the small pitcher.
I prefer the third way as the broth was savoury and everything went really.
Their Unagi has a light crisp to it but I do find other restaurants serves better Unagi (softer and meatier) for that price.
Chilled chunks of lobster meat dressed in lemon mayo and served in a toasted brioche roll accompanied by lemon and garlic butter. Lobster was extremely fresh and had a slight sweetness to it while the brioche roll was buttery which wrapped the chunks of lobster nicely. Drenched it with their lemon garlic butter, best combination.
Battered Chicken Wing Paprika & Honey. Flavourful but found the batter slightly too thick. Portion size was just right.
Rigatoni, Blue Swimmer Crab. Tomato, Garlic Crumb, Parmesan, Chili, Wine, Cream. This was my favourite as it was flavourful, tangy and spicy. Rigatoni was al dente.
Handmade Fettucine, Duck Ragu, Parmesan, Lemon and Wine. Fettucine had a nice al dente texture but I find that the duck ragu was a bit too salty to my liking.
